Going to see the Michael Schenker Group (MSG) tomorrow. You may know him as the lead guitarist from Scorpions (in the early days, 1972 ish) UFO, & MSG. My uncle showed me a video of them and holy crap. This guy is a guitar GOD!! My uncle told me it's a HUGE Rock Show in a small venue. This will be my first concert. I wanted to go see Ted Nugent here a couple weeks ago, but couldn't win the tickets. Oh well. A perk of living in the Motor City is getting to see \"The Madman\" somewhat frequently.

in the 80's I was a Michael Schenker Nut! I spent hours upon hours learning all of his songs, Music covers etc.

Scorpions for the win.

MSG is VERY talented...should be a good show. Last one I went to see was Slaughter, Dokken, Cinderella and Poison in 1 night, outside. Great time, Cinderella stole the show! A lot of \"fat chicks\" there, probably the same ones that were hot in the 80's, only 3 kids later! [lol]

By the way, any of you 80's rockers out there may want to check out \"hair nation\" or \"buzzsaw\" on SIRIUS satellite radio. Those two stations kick A**!!!! AND NO COMMERCIALS!!!

I was disappointed. Schenker canx'd. Rumor is that he had a big fight with the band and fired them all.

Plus side though, the guitarist from a local band called 94 West started the intro to Rock Bottom. HOLY CRAP! This guy was awesome. Too bad MSG didn't show. Ah well, the tix are good for when they do come.

Yeah that would be neat. Of course if I lived in Michigan, at least once I would of gotten "lost" while Mountian biking so I'd have a valid excuse to wonder across the property line of Ted's Ranch.

It's probably also in the middle of nowhere...but I would of been prepared to keep my back turned to a nearby McDonalds sign just barely clearing the tree tops.

I'm pretty sure his main \"Ranch\" is in Texas. But there have been rumors of him buying a large chunk of land near my parents.

Your guess is as good as mine. But I thought his reality show Wanted Ted or Alive was filmed in Michigan.

It might be a more ideal habitat for white tailed deer than Texas, at least I'm guessing it is.

Racegirl, it’s being held at the Usana Amphitheater here in Utah on Aug 18 (4 days after my birthday) and I’m so looking forward to it. BTW Usana is an outdoor venue set against the mountains of Utah. I’m more of a 70’s heavy metal fan but, like yourself, I love the 80’s hair bands and in fact, Ratt was one of my favorites “back in the day”.

My oldest daughter and I find a good rock show around the end of summer to kinda end the summer on a (pardon the pun) high note. Last year it was Alice Cooper, year before that Velvet Revolver, year before that Motley Crew, 2002 Kiss and Areosmith.........

I’ll post pictures.

Wow if i lived anywhere around Utah i would be there too, because it is only 10 days before my birthday it would be perfect lol. Sounds like fun, i'll have to keep my ear out for some good shows like that here in Philly.
