Well we go from a \"Dry Year\" for the most part, the crops look \"Okay\",
We have had cracks in the ground since April and pretty bad since the corn was planted and \"Side Dressed\" you could still see the rolls and grooves.

Even after a normal rain fall months of June and July, just in trickles they were still there until the last 3 days , we picked-up 7.13 inches of rain for a total for the month of 9.47 inches here.
We're in the \"Dry zone\"

North of us is where all the Flooding is going on closer you get to Chicago,
(That'll teach Cook County and Chicago's Anti-Gun Daley Goons ) not to MESS WITH OUR GUN RIGHTS. God is getting them back for that.

But I really feel sorry for those folks who got flooded so fast this week, its terrible just 80 miles north of here.
My folks up the road 20 miles have had over 11\" of rain now but not all at once.

The Good thing is we were so dry ,not quite Drought pre-say but the ground \"SUCKED-IT RIGHT UP\"!!!! NO standing water here, except for some in my crawl space, but What the Hell.

So How are the rest of you doing???

Goose

I'm in that same 7-9 inch range myself Goose!
I was going to cut grass today, but its still pretty damp to touch and I still have a moderately large lake in my yard across the street!

The Toro \")\" turn has no floats attached, so I screwed off in house all day! Worked last night, so it was an easy excuse that I needed a nap!

Dad mowed mine 2x times this last 7 days to keep up with it(Looking to get away from my Mother) since its been so DAMN HOT :(

Its going to cool down by this afternoon, and if it dries out enough The Wife and I will mow it. It don't take long with her using the Big Deere and me with the \"CRAPPY ASS, PIECE OF S%$# Troy-bilt\" which as soon as I can will go
\"Bye Bye\" for something \"GREEN\". I use it because of the slide thru and cruise control.
We can do the whole lot in under 1 1/2 hours between us thats 3 acres, she can do it in 21/2 by herself using just the Deere.

I hope it Dries up, We're going to the Farm Progress Show on Wednesday, never been to one and always have since I was a Youngster , Dad has never been so plus I can get a Cart to get around with.
Freebie's I'm running low on Hats :D
