Yep got that game as well, shame it doesn't get called in for using any of it's other weapons besides the canon, although it does clear up infantry and tanks nicely with a clean strafe run...sometimes works well on small buildings with dug in troops.

You should try Lock on for really getting to know the A-10 though, supposedly the closest to the real thing so far for modern air combat.

PC or console? A friend showed me some game on his 360 and the A-10 had rockets as well as guns. Can't recall the title as i don't interface well with consoles. I need my PC with joysticks and such.

The 360 must be the new Ace Combat 6

It's a shame it's only for X-360 and not PS3 or PC, I'd love to change the skins to real units but my PC is so ancient it wouldn't run it anyway :(

It's a PC title, both of them; Lock on is a flight sim, and World In Conflict is a strategy game and the A-10 is a support weapon you can call in.

Forgot to mention that Lock on has by default seven or eight skins for the A-10 (I keep using the european colour scheme, from the tail markings it's using the 81st Bentwaters Vultures).

There is a big modding community around and there are a few more refined skins you can get for the sim, there is a mod that as far as I know works only with the add-on (Fire Cliffs), that will allow any plane to be flown besides the eight you originally get...including the ricketty SU-25 Frogfoot and the T variant.
