Want my advice? Buy a firearm with a safety or at least a genuine double action mechanism.

After Philly PD implemented glocks back in the day, the accidental discharge rate skyrocketed.

And there-in lies part of the reason 30MM Jr went with a small dept that uses SIG, rather than the larger, better paying Cape Girardeau dept that issues Glocks.

Negligent, accidental, whatever. I guess one could say all car accidents- or all accidents of any kind- are negligence too...

To me it seems apparent that the fact remains that issuing the Glock is a highly effective means of wounding your own departments police officers.

The Glock is what it is, an ugly plastic gun with a crappy 'hair' trigger, mediocre accuracy, typical reliablity for any modern western manufactured modern firearm, and no manual safety.

If that's perfection, i think i'll steer clear.

Besides, the Glock is the #1 choice of Mall Ninjas everywhere. That reason alone is enough for me to not want to go anywhere near it.
