So today was a strange one in North East Pennsylvania. It was raining most of the morning (which is typical for October here) but after a little while it began to snow, while continuing to rain and thunder. It ended up snowing so heavy it stuck to the grounds knocked out power all over here for several hours, and made for a gross slippery drive home.

The point to this post (and i sware i have one lol) is just seeing if anyone else had some bizarre weather today. I was thinking about it and i can't even remember the last time it snowed in PA in October. Does anyone else have some odd weather stories.

We got 11\" of snow here in Utah a few weeks back and in 24 hours it was all gone! An ugly sign of the winter to come.

Very windy here, Sunday. I think it blew all the weather and lake-effect moisture to you.

It is here almost a clear blue sky, sun is shining. See one big cloud from mine office window (not in front of the sun). Yesterday it was wind and raining. Leafs falling off the trees. Autumn!!!

From the time of the original post with snow in PA...about that same time we were living large with record breaking 74F temps in northern Indiana. First time in like forever the Halloween kids didn't have to cover their costumes with sweaters or jackets...it was great weather! Up until 5 Nov I was still sleeping with my bedroom window open! Now it's in the 30s...yuck!

I can remember snow on Easter too, a Blizzard I think in 77 or 78, but then again we had a Christmas when I was had to been 11-12 it was 75 and Sunny.

This Year has been Crazy, One Week \"HOT!!!!!!!!\" next week \"COLD!\" every other week it seemed, It rained and Flooded all winter and early spring. had only 3 snows really but it didn't warm-up until end of May.
This Fall its been \"Dry Warm\" from August to First week of October and Frost hit hard, crops were late so alot were killed. Then WET, We just finally got the Fall plowing done Yesterday.

But there's still alot of others with \"Corn\" still standing just full of Deer and Pheasants . Even had a flock of Turkeys someone had raised for release but kept them too long I think and they would block the road walking and not scared of horns.
Was hooked-up to a wagon dumping corn and those \"Damn Turkeys\" were all over the wagon hitch and on my tailgate looking for \"I guess Food\". Whole Damn field of corn on the ground but they wanted me to feed them. CJ went out there of Course and had these 12 Turkeys following her feeding them. Man I wish I had the Camera.

But the Weather has been too warm for hunting or now too rainy really.
The Combine driver said he saw a \"18 pointer\" eating on the far end next to river and at least another 12-13 deer jumping around. I had a pair of Red Fox go thru my yard when they combined the field behind me, the Dog was so \" so didn't even Bark just sat. I won't shoot Fox anymore Just Coyotes.

But Yesterday I had a 14 pointer scraping my back tree until the Dog saw it at the window.

So come on over sit at the Kitchen table and get your Deer and Coyote hunting done in Comfort. :D I'll take you out Pheasant Hunting too in my Truck. I don't hunt anymore so help yourself.

Yeah, the blizzard on Easter was in about 77-78.(Making me about 8-9yo).

I'm sure it was the same storm system. Pretty cool that we both remember living through it. A FOOT of snow on Easter sunday is pretty cool when you're a kid. :)
