However, I've had a pretty tough year. After getting laid off from the Antarctic program last year, I spent all last summer and fall job hunting. I finally took a job with Lowe's as a PSA, (Product Service Associate, but to us means, "Push Shit Around"). It's a sucky job that a high schooler could do and only pays about 1/3 of what I made before, so I'm still job hunting.

As if that weren't enough, my wife has been in remission from AML, (Acute Myologinus Leukemia) for nearly 21 months, but it has come back. So she has to repeat the chemo therapy until we can find a suitable bone marrow donor for a bone marrow transplant. She just finished a solid week in the hospital for her initial chemo, 2 bags of chemo per day for a week to kill the cancerous blood cells, and now her blood counts are bottoming out. Worse yet, she'll lose her job when the FMLA runs out, and with it goes our medical coverage, and about 85% of our income. So, I'm going to have to get on with Tri-Care which means she'll probably lose her current Oncologist. We'll also have to get our prescriptions elsewhere and get all new doctors. Last time, her employer held her job for her until she was back on her feet and could return to work. This time, since they are talking a bone marrow transplant, she will never be able to return to her job in the Wyoming Prison System. So, we are thinking about turning the house in WY into a rental, which sucks because it's bigger than the one here in Aurora, but it'll bring in enough to pay for it'self and then some.

Between all this and school, I've been busier than a one legged man at a butt kicking contest. I'm also still trying to get my weapons training business off the ground, and have run 4 students through since the new year. All are now shooting on par with the cops out at Buckley AFB where I used to teach.

I appreciate any and all thoughts, prayers and well wishes, and will try to update as I can.

Wow, that's a lot. I hope everything turns out well.
