Just thought I would post a quick note over here and give you a little intel on LOMAC and the forums over there because I saw the MIG-21 post and know you are going to get some flack from some of the members.

You see LOMAC is based on the Flanker sims which featured “eastern” Mig/SU aircraft so there are a lot of eastern block people on the boards over there. They are already a little upset because the development team is spending most of their time on the western A-10/F-15 and not upgrading the avionics of the original Mig/Su aircraft.

I know you can handle yourself but it always helps to know what kind of threat environment you are headed into!

Hey Dice, any word on when LOMAC is coming out? I've seen a date in March, but I didn't know if that was the official date.

Ted

Politicians and diapers have one thing in common. They should both be changed regularly and for the same reason.

Ted, I'm sorry but I can say anything about the released date past what the offical stance is.....summer 2003... I can say I think all A-10 fans will love this sim but not the computer requirment!

No problem, I understand. I hadn't heard if there had been any release date set, and I know that you're keeping a eye on the whole project.

I read TinyGiants comments and I dont see anything wrong with them, Its just a little reminder to foriegn powers when the US decides to flex some muscle around the globe, They should be thankful that we dont nakedly agress all former eastern block nations

If I recall correctly the Sim is based on the mid 80's to early 92 time frame. Technology has not improved much on the Russian Side during those years. Those that have benifited from technology updates had been the Ukraine and the German-Hungarians. The germans are useing western components, as well as what is takeing place on other Russian exports.

Interesting about the Anti personel mine found under the Seat.....That would be something to tell the grandkids

Any News on BETA testing takeing place Dice?

I didn't mean to imply there was anything wrong with tinygiants post, just wanted him to know the make-up of the forum members there and the types of responces he may get.

The problems most Flakerners(S) have (with LOMAC) is the avionics in the last Flanker..I think 2.0..was not that great and they were hoping for updates in LOMAC. It looks like, at this time, they will not get any in the first release because of the work left to do on the A-10/F-15...they are not happy with that!

Testing is in progress but they have not stated the sim is beta yet, so I guess you could say the sim is in an "advance" alpha stage!

BTW nice to see you back thug!!

Thanks for the info Dice, and i didnt imply anything.

Nice reflection pic on the Visor TinyGiant, Definately a good hero Pic. I'm going to have to read a little more on the lomac forums, it has been a few months since ive followed the site.

Let me know if it ever comes to Beta This divorce is killing my tolerance. Need some virtual commie puppies to kick No glider flying in the winter

I have huge amounts of tolerance. If the guys over there won't buy Fords cuz their dads own Chevrolets, that's not my problem. I'm not trying to instigate, just trying to put up a coupla (what I think are) cool pics I took in Afghanistan.

And I can't image what kind of person would take it as a personal insult if a plane they 'like' and fly a sim for is shown in bad shape. I've never asked for a pic of crashed A-10 to be taken down, and I fly 'em!

I'll take the post down when the pilot of that MiG-21 asks me to.

Thanks for the concern, Dice. I understand where you're coming from. Luckily, I've only gotten one or two bad reactions, easy to ignore.
