John Creighton fan here !! and of course Claudia Black and GiGi Edgerly(spelling?) UNFORTUNATLY also on cable so I dont get it FORTUNATELY my nephew is a HUGE fan and has almost all of them on tape or DVD , so I've seen most of them. My fav is the fantasy fairytale episode where Ayeren Sun (spelling again? ( frelling alien names ) is the "southern belle" and speaks with that lisp, I literaly started howling ,and fell off the couch onto the floor LOLOL.

Poke that is ok as long as you did not try the ultimate fashion statement for women from start trek the bald head. lol

I laugh but my company does advance mobile computing for healthcare, and while my model was not the borg. The more computer devices I hang on my system, to assimate data into a database, more star trek comments I get.

Don't feel bad, Boomer. Scifi cancelled Farscape (long may Scifi rot...), so now us that have cable don't get to see it either! I've developed a like (boardering on addiction) for Stargate SG-1 now. Scifi's been running 4 episodes of SG-1 every monday night, so when I've been able to I've been catching up on what I've missed.

Blue? I haven't seen Farscape that much. I got cable just in time for them to cancel it.

Sci-fi fans to get new museum in Seattle

SEATTLE, Washington (Reuters) --Is Seattle about to be inundated by strange visitors wearing out-of-this-world clothing and pointy ears?

Instead of congregating at conventions, book fairs and on the Internet, science fiction fans will get their own shrine dedicated to the art, literature and film of science entertainment, courtesy of billionaire Paul Allen.

Tentatively named the Science Fiction Experience, the exhibit is slated to open in the summer of 2004 within the confines of Allen's Experience Music Project (EMP) in the shadow of Seattle's Space Needle.

"Science fiction shows us that change is constant and exhilarating," said Microsoft Corp. co-founder Allen, who is funding the project.

Flanked by science fiction props such as Captain Kirk's original command chair from the "Star Trek" television series, classic science fiction books and movie banners, Allen said the $20 million non-profit endeavor would provide "entertaining and thought-provoking exhibits" for visitors.

Allen, a philanthropist who has invested in everything from cable television to professional sports teams since leaving Microsoft in 1983, has funded several cultural projects in his hometown of Seattle, including the EMP, a Jimi Hendrix-inspired music museum and the Cinerama, a restored 1960s-era movie theater with a giant, curved viewing screen.

The eclectic EMP, with its red, blue, gold, purple and silver undulating exterior, was designed by architect Frank Gehry and opened in 2000.

Allen said he expects the Science Fiction Experience, which will be built in a newly vacated space within the EMP, to pull in 150,000 to 200,000 more visitors to the building every year.

Science fiction author Greg Bear of Seattle will chair an advisory board to the museum and said that respect for the genre has been long overdue.

"Science fiction is one of the greatest untold stories of science and art today," said Bear, winner of two Hugo awards for novels such as "Eon" and "Queen of Angels".

Among the items on display will be a complete set of autographed first editions of the Foundation Trilogy by Isaac Asimov, a collection of "Astounding Science Fiction" magazines and artwork depicting the future.

Whoa the geek meter just got pegged I loved SW and could probably repeat them verbatim. Empire is by far the best, Menace completely sucked except for the Lightsaber fight at the end. CLones was much better, at first I hated the flying, flipping screaming Yoda, but after a few times, it wasn't bad. The rest of the movie wasn't bad but still sits at #4 on my list. As corny and goofy as Episode IV was, it was 1976!!! So all is forgiven.

yeah the Yoda fight was dumb, he should have used "the force" to move his light sabre around instead of his creaky old body LOL

Might just be because I'm pressed for time and have to go soon....

Might just be that I'm really only an Anime Freak. Wasn't as impressed with eps 1 & 2 as the original trilogy. Never was a big Star Trek Fan.

And/or it might be subconsious regret over a cohort...Sgt.Sean Rozick, USMC (Ret.) and myself putting our heads together and destroying our old Star Wars toys in various ways.

But I guess I'm not into Wars & Trek as everyone else here.

..But WHOA his old AT-AT blowing up was quite a sight!

You blew up an AT-AT?!?! You ever see how mcuh those things go for on Ebay!?!? Make a killing quick, whether you like SW or not! I looked one time out of curiosity to see how much it would be to get some of my old toys back, and holy cow!! A falcon in a box goes for $500+ as I recall. What people won't pay to relive their childhood

Yeah, I'll bet he'd be kicking himself if he saw how much money he could of gotten for it. Minus the entry & exit hole's in the cargo bay from a twenty-two.

But the explosion was great:

Two empty hairspray cans in the cargo hold. A lot of guys & some fireworks too. Had it walking, first he lit the head on fire. It stopped swaying back & forth, and started convulsing. Then he lit it's back leg on fire, that swept up to the battery hatch in the back. He told me it exploded, made a nice fireball out the back.

The AT-AT stopped dead when the batteries exploded. And fell over on it's side just like the one from Empire did. Then he said the empty hair spray cans must of gotten toasted, because the entire thing blew up a split second after it fell over.

Cut to me being out front his house, he yelled "HOLY ****!" And then I noticed a cloud of black smoke rise up over the roof, in the shape of a mushroom cloud.

The mushroom cloud shaped smoke kinda worries me, everyone knows how flammable they made those old school Star Wars toys...I'd hate to think Kenner disregarded our safety enough that the old AT-AT's actually had small nuclear reactors, and Sgt. Rozick blew one up.

Surely there must be a Farscape fan here...

All the way...

I'm a total Farscape fan.

And yeah.. I'm bitter about the series ending!

AlsoInvader Zim getting canned by Nick. Then they played eight "lost" eps in South America. But didn't want to burden themselves by importing them here.
