I'm not sure I understand jamming. I don't know very much about it at all.

For example, if a EA-6B Prowler w/ ALQ-99 flew with U.S. fighters would a Mig-21 not be able to lock on with radar and fire missiles at the U.S. fighters? Could they still fire IR missiles or not? Does this work against newer fighters like Mig-29? Could SAM's be prevented from locking on and firing accurately too? How effective is it?

Viper I often times have alot of questions regarding different weapons systems and there basic theories. When the intell guys cant fill me in they always seem to refer me to www.fas.org it is a geat sight of info that our guys use along with their sipernet assets to write briefs. i have found it to be the most comprehensive sight for non classified info around. Go to conventional weapons and then to iether the US weapons or ROW weapons. I think you will be able to get enough info to keep you happy. <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
