And in addition to having to explain the convertible top to her hubby, how did she expect to be able to explain why his gear-shift knob smelled like poo from then on?

KF, in the UK we got a version of the MX5 that had a brushed stainless steel gear knob.

Perhaps it was one of those and she thought it would scrub up OK. Either that or she really hated her hubby

Mmmmhhhh... Cold Stainless Steel....

Shivvvvery..!

Perhaps that's what caused the cramp..?

Snipe, sorry about that, counting was never my strong point (perhaps that's why I had so many mags run dry on me) .

But another thing, I owe you big time. That's the first time anybodys called me a young man in a long time ...

In this place you hit 35 and they're already shoveling the dirt on top of you.

Cheers Bud..!

Looking at the news this morning if you want to be a BA pilot, the only A-Level you'll need to worry about is the Alcohol level in your blood...

Hmmm...

Not sure how old you are, so I'm not sure how much hormones are affecting your decision making process.

I know military pilots get some seriously cool toys to play with but I’ve had hundreds (literally) of civilian flight (as a passenger) and can tell you that the civilian captains spend a lot of their time getting down and jiggy with the air hostesses.

And these air hostesses are very, very attractive indeed.

And there are usually at least twice as many female hostesses to male pilots on a filght.

Do the maths, smell the coffee, Quasimodo with halitosis couldn’t fail to pull.

GET YOUR PRIORITIES RIGHT…!

Getting back to the topic of Idiots...

A work colleague accidentally filled his diesel company car up with un-leaded.

He noticed before cranking it over and phoned the RAC (UK roadside assistance mob).

They came and towed the car to a garage and then dropped him at home.

But because of the delay he was into anti-social working hours and was entitled to a cash lump sum and a meal on the company.

So by screwing a company car, he got a lift home, some cash and a curry from the company..!

Go figure - perhaps he wasn't quite the idiot we all thought he was.

I guarantee if I had a rescue-type job and got called in on a situation like the one with the Mazda, I would've taken EVERY excuse to break/cut/destroy some dumbass' car. ANY situation in which I can destroy someone else's property legally and without pissing them off is one I'm gonna take.

Besides... you arrive there with two nude people (one of which has a gear-shift stuck up her @$$) in extreme discomfort (not to mention the embarassment), and THEN you find out that the car is her husband's (who isn't currently present). I'm not much of a bettin' man, but I'd put money on the fact that he's gonna be a bit more pissed about his wife screwing around IN his car than he is about the convertible top. That'll just give him more fuel for the divorce fire.

DO NOT park next to a fire hydrant, if a squad needs that spigot you wont like what they do to your car!

You all speak the truth, from personal experience if I catch somebody doing something v. stupid, I usually take the chance to punish them severely usually by making an example of them.

Anyway...

I've consulted with the better half and apparently I got it wrong. It was the gear stick that was cut to get them out the car.

It sounds like somebodys an expert, I'm off to check my stick shift...
