All,

Hello and salutations, new to the forum. I've just been assigned a project from the editor of Fine Scale Modeler magazine regarding the realistic modeling of battle damage on scale models, and we decided that Capt. Campbell's A-10 would be the perfect subject for the lesson. Would anyone be able to steer me towrds an online library of the jet's damaged sections, and further, a possible way to contact Capt. Campbell? Sidebar for article regarding the incident, and of course presenting her with the completed model would be fine addition. Thanks for your help - my email is cappoldt@yahoo.com please feel free to email me regarding any of the above.

Thanks,

Christopher F. Appoldt

Ive sent you "Dice's" email address, he is the goto guy for this info. As he has the plane and the people to get you what you need. I think its a fabulous project. Their are some crew chiefs here also that could help you that directly worked that aircraft in question.

You know it Goose it will look great at her house or in the squadrons display case! I'm in contact with "Chris" and we are working out detail of the aircraft and what it looked like that day.

I can't get in contact with Pope because the base (Hill AFB) was shut-down today because of snow (I have about 4-5 feet pilled-up in my yard today from just the drive-way) and I can't log-in to the base server to use my email! We are due to get more in the next few days so all I can do it survive this with the kids!!

I am working on my website with the extra time on my hands and should have the patch section finnished by the end of the week.

Not that I am trying to get any face time for our jet Goose, I would never do that, but for Sh & Gi you could send him some pics of 166 all shot up in the Gulf. It may be some more for him to work with.

By this time tomorrow I shall have gained either a pearage or Westminster Abbey........Nelson

Small up-date, the kit is in work and we have KC onboard, just have to work the detail through Pope's PA office. I belive the feature will appear in the March or April issue, I will let you know for sure when I know.
