I got a message on this at work, unfortunately I can only publish what the AP is saying but just the thought of an A-10 busting up some druggies in Afghanistan is enough to make my day. I can only tell you the "Paul Harvey rest of the story" is damn interesting...

"<b>KANDAHAR, Afghanistan</b> - In another incident to emerge Monday, the U.S. military said an air strike destroyed a drug laboratory in the far north of the country.

Several people were detained by U.S. and Afghan troops in the Friday raid on the lab, some 60 miles northeast of Kunduz, Hilferty said.

An A-10 ground attack aircraft was called in to destroy the facility, which contained about 1 1/2 tons of opium and a half-ton of chemicals as well as processing equipment, he said."

After misnavigating and flying through the smoke plume, the pilot of the aircraft flew lazy circles and banking turns on his meandering return from the attack...Upon landing, he greeted the base commander with a,"Hey! DUDE!" and a slap on the back, asking if he could "bum" a bag of doritoes off of him before heading off for a nap since,"the day was a killer and everyone needs some time to kick-back, now and then"...

They were also planning on removing the GAU-8 and replacing them with 20mm Vulcans and use them in drug interdiction roles down in Columbia, way back when.

But unfortunately they had to send a 1st Lt mudd down their in an OV10, with the M60's removed from the sponsoons since it was considered a "law Enforcement" Action. Instead 1stLt. And Later Captain mudd, received numerous hostile fire From Farmer Juan "Coca" Valdez and his narco Gurillas by the formidibal FN-FAL and SKS-Ak47, Suppression systems. All i could do was jink, givem the airforce 1 finger salute! Find a new attack, im sorry pardon the wet dream..let me rephrase that... Fly a new spray approach course then only to fly back, report the location and watch the politicians and Various paramilitary south american Style keystone Cops Not respond to the site for a Few months, at which time the Farmers would then up and move locations, makeing that intel of no "Law Enforcement" Value.

If we killed any one it was from the triple canopy style Roundup quasi agent orange we sprayed Low level 250 knots dodgeing the narco Gorilla 7.62x39 love

I'll probably be testifying before congress and before some Southern california Judge as to why I Sprayed Juan "Cocoa" Valdez and caused the mental and physical retardation of his village, you know the ones that werent physical gifted enough to jump the border and Start Taco stands all over SOCAL.

I dunno? But I greet the pilots with a "Hey Dude, hurry up it's friggin cold out here!!

That article is funny though. I guess Wesley Clark (Ret. General) told some news agency that we have no troops in Afghanistan!

THEN WHERE THE HELL AM I!!! SOUTH TUCSON!!

"If all the commercials say: 'An Army of One', why am I surrounded by the fools!?"
