Saw this on ebay...doesn't look like the coin I got from Dice...a fake maybe???

If you look at the picture above...not only does the coin look like its made out of different metal, the flag is different (shows more stars) and it looks like it is in 3D...just thought ya'll would like to see this...

Dice did say that he wasnt pleased with the last run and that their might be some changes.

I havn't had time to swing over to his house to pick the one up I ordered from him.

But im sure dice would of showed us any changes made to the coin. he always keeps us in the loop.

Looks like a get rich quick scheme fake...

Basically the point I was making...we all know Dice would inform us of any updates/changes to the coin.....

Well the "guy" removed the coin after I sent him a message asking where he got the coin or design. I didn't receive any answer just the fact he removed the coin.
Did you guys look at the "other" items he had for sale? At least 10 other coins from the USAF, Army, and Navy. Looks to me like someone who has a connection to a coin makes and copies designs where ever he can find them and sells the rip-offs.
Man that is pretty low to use other peoples ideas to make a few bucks and rip them off in the process by selling them a "knock-off" and not the real deal.
I send him another message asking where he got the coin or design and told him if he didn't contact me I was going to contact ebay. I think I will also post a comment in his 99.9% good rating if I don't hear from him today and may make this a weekly thing to do!

You guys may not like me saying this but its true. Unless there is a pantent the guy can sell them. looking at the guys other sales all he does is sell coins. There is 3 coins on e-bay now. some paople make there living this way.

Dude, a "pantent" does not apply to printed materal that's copyright and there is such a thing a implyed copyright. I can't copy one of Dru Blair's painting or Hank Cruso's work and resale it on ebay.

What if you designed a tee-shirt to sell, are you saying I could copy it and sell it as mine??

You better belive I will post this coin is a rip-off the our design and it's not the "offical" 30th coin. Maybe people will not care but at least they will know this dude copies other peoples work and sells them as his own for a profet!

I thought I sent you the URL for the DVDs??? Also I don't have any more coins left but do have an order in for another 20, if you want more than a couple I would have to try an incress my order.

This is not a matter of copyright.. atleast not for the Dutch law... It's not that easy to translate into english, but we call it creative-owner of the design... you don't have to protect it with copyright, the fact you've create the original is enough...

About the DVD: yes you've send me the URL... the fact is i don't have a credit-card... but I know someone who have one.,.. give me one week and I order that DVD... about the coins...

This is nothing new for E-Bay. I search for "A-10" and got some nice framed A-10 for sale, but the funny thing is, they are all publically available. One of them is even property of the U.S Air Force (Spang Jet, 81-945, live load, Operation Allied Force.) Some people will do anything to turn a few quick bucks... <img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle>

All that can be done is post complaints in his profile...then he'll just start a new one, I would imagine.

End of quote..... we know the same law with the same name. I've worked as a prof photographer for years thats the reason why i have to know this law .... One of my pictures has travelled around the world without my permission (Tokyo, New York, Geneve, Berlin etc.... ) I was a young photographer at that time and they've payed me 150 Euro's.... far to low....

Too true, there was someone selling the <i>A-10s Over Kosovo</i> book on CD, basically someone just downloaded it (like I did) burned it to disk and put it up for auction. Matter of fact, I just checked and he is still selling them...

So this guy is just ripping off coin designs?!? I cruise ebay quite a bit for car parts and came across this coin once and actually considered bidding on it. Where can you post comments about people on ebay? Just curious

I got an email from the guy and he says he recived it (paied $5)from a guy in Korea. He gave me the guys email addy and I'm going to email him tonight with some questions.

He did take the coin off ebay (says he only has one) so I think he has just got caught-up in the cross-fire. Korea... someone saw the design (you all know you can get coins cheep over there) and is truning a buck off our design!
