If it is true that Mr. Kerry lied or is was factual incorrect during the debate I think some hell is gonna break out.

Bomb number one:

FLASH: Kerry stated: 'That's why they had to close down the subway in New York when the Republican Convention was there.' (Driving home point that Bush as not done enough to protect the country.)

The NYC subway did not close at all during the convention, according to a report on cable outlet NY1...

Bomb number two: (Republican committee)

From The Archives...
An Elephant Never Forgets!

BREAKING DEBATE EDITION

KERRY CLAIMS HE'S "NEVER, EVER" USED WORD "LYING" IN REFERENCE TO PRESIDENT BUSH ON IRAQ. JIM LEHRER: "New question, Senator Kerry. Two minutes. You've repeatedly accused President Bush, not here tonight but elsewhere before, of not telling the truth about Iraq. Essentially, of lying to the American people about Iraq. Give us some examples of what you consider to be his not telling the truth." SEN. KERRY: "Well, I've never, ever used the harshest word as you just did." (Sen. John Kerry, First Presidential Debate, Miami, FL, 9/30/04)

BUT IN DECEMBER 2003, KERRY TOLD NEW HAMPSHIRE EDITORIAL BOARD BUSH "LIED" ABOUT REASON FOR GOING TO WAR IN IRAQ. "Kerry also told a New Hampshire newspaper editorial board Friday that Bush had 'lied' about his reasons for going to war in Iraq, a word Kerry has been reluctant to use publicly for months. Yesterday he said he did not plan to use the word again." (Patrick Healy, "Kerry Camp Lowers N.H. Expectations Behind In Polls, Senator Now Seeks Spot In 'Top Two,'" The Boston Globe, 12/8/03)

AND IN SEPTEMBER 2003, KERRY SAID BUSH ADMINISTRATION "LIED" AND "MISLED." "This administration has lied to us. They have misled us. And they have broken their promises to us. The president promised to the people and the Congress that he would build an international coalition, respect the United Nations' process and only go to war as a last resort. I will tell you that from my war fighting experience, I believe there is a test for a president as to how you go to war. And that test is whether or not you can look in the eyes of parents and say to them, 'I did everything possible to avoid the loss of your son and daughter, but we had no other choice in order to protect the security of our nation,' and I know this president fails that test in Iraq." (Sen. John Kerry, Campaign Event, Claremont, NH, 9/20/03)

Kerry did lie about Bush and home land security. The subways were operational during the Republican convention. The trains ran directly under the convention, with only certain entrances closed to Penn station to restrict traffic to specific entrance inorder to screen passengers. KERRY LIED. He told a lie to embarass Bush.

Worst off the only convention that has subwas shut down was in Boston during the Democratic convention. Do a Google search.

--------------------------------

See link http://www.nyc.gov/html/misc/html/2004/rnc_faq.html

"WILL PENN STATION BE CLOSED?
No. Penn Station, which sits directly beneath Madison Square Garden, services the Long Island Railroad, New Jersey Transit and Amtrak. Penn Station will remain open during the convention. Law enforcement officers from several agencies will patrol the trains entering the station. The entrances to Penn Station along Eighth Avenue will be closed during the RNC. The entrance on the south side of West 34th Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues will remain open. In order to avoid the congestion expected at Seventh Avenue and West 34th Street, it may be advisable to access this entrance from the West (Eighth Avenue) side. Additionally, the entrance at West 32nd Street and Seventh Avenue will remain open. Thirty-second Street will be similar to a pedestrian walkway between Sixth Avenue and Seventh Avenue in order to facilitate the flow into and out of Penn Station. To ease egress, it is recommended that commuters go to Sixth Avenue to access West 32nd Street and enter Penn Station from the east. Service on the Seventh and Eighth Avenue subway lines (1, 2, 3, 9, A, C and E trains) will continue during the convention as well. Penn Station can be accessed from both subway lines without the need to ascend above ground. Taking the subway to and from Penn Station may be a viable alternative for some commuters rather than exiting Penn Station directly to street level. Commuters should allow some extra time for their trip as every train will be inspected by law enforcement personnel prior to entering Penn Station."

I thought they both did miserable jobs.
My man Bush looked tired and exhausted.
Kerry had style, Bush had the substance(<i>Incidentally, Dick Morris said that on Fox news after I did; I was proud of myself for a little bit</i>).

I'm not a pompous person, but I even personally could of CRUSHED Kerry in that debate, and I very rarely make those claims.

AND THROW OUT THOSE STUPID RULES!!!
IT'S TIME TO PLAY DIRTY!!
LET THE BLOODSPORT BEGIN.

oh i think Bush did not have his a game but Kerry clearly lied during the debate about the subway, and offered to give Iran nuclear fuel as a test.

I don't think there was anyone watching last night that said "Wow, i'm changing my mind and voting for the other guy now".

I don't think either candidate will be gaining any votes over last nights debate. Last night's debate was really the only one anyone even watches, and Kerry had to turn it into a major victory....he didn't, nor did he come close.

I agree sniper I wish Bush would have done much better, but could you imagin if Bush said he would give nuclear fuel to Iran as a test or lied about the subways being closed.

Bush had a real opportunity last night to put the final nail in the Kerry coffin, but he let it get away. However, Kerry didn't exactly take any of the nails out that bush has already hammered home.

The debate will end up having no real impact in the race in the long term...one way or another. Everyone has already made up their minds.

I don't really think there are any significant number of voters that hasn't already decided.

I don't think the debates ever offered Kerry a real shot to turn things around(really, besides us geeks, no one even watches them).

The televised debates are kind of like the slam dunk contest before the NBA all star game. Fun to watch, but of little value. Its scary to think that a prepared debate under those rules have the ability to sway voters. I made up my mind two years ago I was voting for Bush...Only way I would not vote for Bush, was if John McCain ran as an independent.

Really, the only time debates influenced an election result was in 1960, when TV was brand new...John F. Kennedy v. Richard Nixon, and even then Kennedy needed some dead voters in Illinois to pull that one off.

All Bush has to do is avoid stepping on his crank in a big way, and he wins the election. While I wasn't impressed with either candidate last night, I also realize that Bush is at his best outside of that element. Kerry sounded like a trial lawyer, his style may have won points, but his message sure didn't. I personaly find his demanor condensending...

I wished Bush used his own convictions while having Reagan's gift of gab.

He would've castrated Kerry last night.

<i>K=C2

Kerry = Clinton squared. All talk, most of which are lies.
</i>

They(the left) say Clinton is a smart guy, but the world leaders played him for a fool.
He was an exceptionally un-wise president.
