I hope your right. I am so nervous right now it is crazy. I'm not sure how many votes each state has but I predict Bush by to many to Kerry's not enough. I do know it takes 270 to win it.

I'll call it the Boss at 277.

I'm gonna go with Bush at 290, because I'm feeling optomistic.

I filled out a "predict the election" map the other day, and I've got Bush with 281.

Snipe, you gonna get Penn. going? ;)

I predict Bush 271. I don't care how little or large it is as long as Bush gets it!!! We are all hoping and praying hard here for him! If not, look out for the Osama freaks!!! I know everyone in Utah will be stockpiling in fear of another terrorist attack if Lurch gets it. YIKES!!! GO BUSH GO BUSH!!!

Fender, since you didn't specify a number, i'm assigning you 270, lol.

Looks like Fla is almost definitely gonna break bush, and the internal numbers from Ohio look semi-encouraging(knock on keyboard).

Be a real pisser if it ended up with 272 bush just like last time. So far EVERY state has gone exactly as it did in 2000.

Since Wif took my vote I'll guess 272 and hope I'm terribly wrong

Man... Texas should have like 50 electoral votes. We could easily kick California and New York's asses over and over again, and N.Y. has almost as many as Texas, and California has more.

Population be damned... let electoral votes be based on how much whoop-ass your state can put on other states.

*UPDATE* - MSNBC is predicting Florida going to Bush.

Bad news here: there's still 1.6 MILLION absentee ballots sitting down in Florida. The GOP "assumes" they've got 2/3 of those votes, but I'm still nervous as hell. I don't wanna go to sleep tonight and have sweet dreams, only to wake up tomorrow to a Kerry nightmare.

'Edit - here's the prediction I made a day or two ago. Looking fairly close so far, but a couple of states are slipping away from me:

As Snipe already posted, Fox and NBC have both "projected" Bush to win Ohio, and assuming it stays he's got 4 MORE YEARS!!!

Hallelujah.

Well, it's looking now like the only state I missed in my prediction was Nevada...

George W. Bush (REP)* 388,963 51%
John F. Kerry (DEM) 368,458 48%
Ralph Nader (IND) 4,486 1%
99% of precincts reporting

Assuming it finishes out like this, Bush should hit 286 E.V.'s, giving him undisputed advantage in both the electoral and popular votes. I'm just waiting now for Gore to become Kerry's interim campaign manager from here on out and instruct him on the finer points of whining like a little girl with a skinned knee.

I'M REALLY GLAD IT DIDNT TIE 269 TO 269 , KERRY WILL BE OUT BEFORE THE PRES IF HE'S GOT ANY GRACE AND "BOW OUT".

BUT ONE THING IS FOR SURE,THIS 75% VOTER TURN OUT SHOULD BE THE NORM NOT THE EXCEPTION,AMERICANS TAKE VOTING TOO LIGHTLY.

YOU GUYS WERE RIGHT ON THE WINNER,DOESNT MEAN I STILL AGREE WITH HIS AGENDA BUT HE'S THE PRESIDENT AND HAVE TO RESPET HIM.

CONGRATS TO YOU ALL

Yeah, I predicted 281. I didn't count on him getting the 5 from Nevada.

Well, apparently they're not going through with announcing the remaining states and corresponding electoral votes due to Kerry's concession.

As it stands, however, Bush is winning/has won New Mexico (5) and Iowa (7), bringing his total to 286.
