How do you wrap up your comm cords after a launch/maintenance. After trying a few ways, I've settled on clipping the headset end near the cannon plug, wrapping it up, looping it around and pulling about eight inches through to hold it together. Just curious, and figured this would be fun for this forum.

After rereading your discription a few times that is exactly how I did mine.....last time I wrapped up my comm cord was in 99. (still have it in my helmet bad along with the headseat and ALOT of bench stock)

I hold the end that plugs into the commcord in my hand and wrap the rest of it up between my hand and elbow, using the cannon plug end to wrap it all up. I never do it in the opposite direction, because then the half that is closer to me gets permanantly spiraled. While I'm using it, I have the cannon plug half go from the cannon plug to hanging from the top of the aft nose gear door so it doesn't fall out or get tangled on stuff.

I DID IT THE SAME WAY AS YOU GIFTED AND M&M,
NEVER SAW THE "HELMETS". I DO STILL HAVE MY GROUND HEADSET AND MY AIRCREW HEADSET PLUS MY FIRST PAIR OF RED EAR DEFENDERS.
I COULDNT STAND EAR PLUGS THOSE RUBBER ONES,THE THROW AWAYS WERE GOOD,I USED THEM HERE TOO ENDED UP WITH A WHOLE BOX.
HECK I STILL HAVE MY REFLECTO BELT.

ANOTHER QUESTION WOULD BE "HOW MANY OF YOU CARRY YOUR GERBER OR LETTERMAN TOOLS WITH YOU?
THEY WERE JUST COMMING OUT WHEN I LEFT BUT,WHILE IN JAPAN I BOUGHT THIS
"JAPANESE SWISS ARMY KNIFE". CRESENT WRENCH,BOTH SCREWDRIVERS,BLADES,STRIPPERS, PLUS I ALWAYS HAD SPARE "APEXS" IN MY POCKETS.
OH I'LL ADMITT TOO THAT I HAD EXTRA "MIC BUTTON BALL BEARINGS" FOR THOSE FRIDAY NIGHT RIP OUT THE FLOOR JOBS.

MONEY TALKS,B.S. JUST PILES UP.

I was afirm believer a few years ago about always carrying my Gerber with me. But I almost really left it in a jet and it scared the life out of me. I have never carried it at work again. We have leathermans in our tool boxes so there is no need to carry my own. Not to mention what the regs say about it. However when you go on an advon or a trip somewhere and you are catching jets. Its best to have one for a backup in your bag incase you need it. But I dont ever keep it on my person anymore.

By this time tomorrow I shall have gained either a pearage or Westminster Abbey........Nelson

I CARRIED MINE IN MY "BUCK KNIFE "HOLSTER AND WHEN THE MINI MAGS CAME OUT THAT TOO.
IN MY OLD TRUCK I HAD A CHECKLIST ON THE VISOR I LOOKED AT EVERYNIGHT AFTER WORK MAKING SURE I HAD EVERYTHING.
NEVER LOST ANYTHING,FOUND TONS OF STUFF.

THE BEST FIND I EVER SAW WAS A BFLT BIRD CAME BACK FROM DEPOT AND WAS GETTING OPENED FOR ACCEPTANCE INSPECTION AND OUT OF THE REAR BELLY PANEL A ROLAX WATCH FEEL OUT. THAT WAS A LUCKY DOG!

LIKE SOMEONE AT DEPOT IS GOING TO ADMITT THAT.<img src=newicons/anim_shock.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/anim_lol.gif border=0 align=middle>
