Its a hetfield Photoshop...

you like their cabinates (Bogner)? played through a 300W JCM800 ZakkWylde Edition. Very nice....

I have two Valvestate marshalls. But their way too loud with the celestian Cabs for a house.

I may get the MG series 100W stack for in House.

May I suggest a giant killer(Mesa Mk series)for both of you: Same Power, less space.
You also get the best of three worlds in tone: clean, crunch, overdrive.

I'm never been really into Mesa. I'm more of a mod-Marshall guy.

Same.. Since Marshall is all I own, I dont need to really get into anything else. What I got now moves plenty of air. To be honest ive never played through a Mesa. I'm sure if at any time i do become a "Professional Musician" that I would be more open to other technology and costs, But right now I'm very focused on Recording technology expenses and collecting more Guitars. I'm sorta kinda seeking out other musicians in the SLC area to jam with. I enjoyed that allot in the past.

Heres some stuff I did with a friend in LA before my paragliding Accident in 02.

Chris: bass, Drum Machine, Mixing, other Midi stuff (works at a pro musician store hes got all the cool shit to play with.)

I just do the guitars, Chris taught me allot about track recording (Tough) Im pretty good with Accuracy and timing, But I suck in looking at the bigger picture and accompanyments. I didnt start playing rock stuff until I met up with him. Some of the stuff we did had over 20 Track overlays. The more tracks the more loose it sounds. So we did those as a Challenge, But i prefered to stick to the simple music arrangements. The classical stuff i did get pretty complex.

Im In Northern Utah. I quit my San Diego Job and Am moving here permanently. Their is two Guitar Center chain stores here Staffed by high school kids (idiots) They have allot of product, but they are not intimate with it. I do not believe their is any sam Ash stores. All the other shops are little Hole in the wall shops, Which actually i prefer more due to the fact that more experianced guys tend to be there. last wednesday i found one that had a ESP KH2 ive been wanting to check out. The old hippy let me turn up the gain on the 300W heads and rock the strip mall. I feel sorry for the other tenents next to them. Best way ive spent waiting for the snowstorm to clear, it was pretty damn fun. I havnt done that in a very very very long time.

M&M and I will be checking out more stores and stuff. He has a Hobby of Making and repairing acoustic guitars.(MARK is MR WOODSHOP) Im going to have him build me a some custom Electrics soon. I have like over 120 Differnt pickups and other associated gear. All we need to do now is get the set neck components and some bodies, I even have a couple Floyd Rose, and Kahlers burried away somewhere.

Mesa Mk IV, if you ever get the chance.
I am thinking of visiting "Mudd Country".
See, there is this old jazz guitarist that lives in your area from the 50's and 60's who is f'ing PHENOMENAL that goes by the name of Johnny Smith.
I have to see if he is playing at all in his home town for the reason that the old-school jazz guitarists are falling like flies(Barney Kessel died last year) and I really would like to meet one before they go the way of the dinosaurs.
If you'd like, I'll e-mail you some of his files.

If you like the Spanish guitar style, you would love the acoustic stuff he did on his Legends album.

everything i did from 83 up till 92 was spanish/acoustic and classical.
Then i got on the santana kick for a while. Late 90's is all heavy metal, instrumental stuff. Satriani, Vai, Ministry, metallica Halen,KMFDM etc.

latest stuff im doing now is the "Union Underground" they have a wicked Texas Chord rythm in a ZZTopstyle but very heavy underground accompanyments, Kinda like Alice in chains.

Then I'm guessing you met Steve Morse as well...
Were those your "Edwards" days and was your metal head friend also a FWIC??

If you see Johnson again, slap him around for me.
I saw him at the TLA and it was arguably the worst concert to date. He had no stage presence, his music was repetitive, he was playing way too loud for his style... and he did the most amateurish thing a musician ever could do: He acknowledged a mistake in his playing by nodding his head in disgust. Keep in mind, this was the guy who gained the rep of never making a playing mistake.

And to top it off, the reason I knew I was at a bad concert was that his opening act got more of a crowd response than him; after he played "Cliffs", the crowd dwindled exponentially.
However, his songs are a great practice aide and I did learn what not to do at a gig- Thanx EJ

He's a regular in the Austin city area, wonder if Frogger knows of him?

The Initials are Actually FWIC, and No my good friend chris was a Drugged out dude from Venice Beach, had a striking resemblence of Sam Kinneson. . That School is at Nellis. LOL I was at Edwards during the period of time we discussed above.

What I know about morse is just Tablature stuff I picked up from the Guitar mags. But i rarely use those cause i learn most everything by ear pretty easily and often times my version of something is differnt from what the Tablature presents. Most tablature music does not utilise octaves or Drop Tuning, baritones etc.

I will tell you who i was dissapointed in was Micheal Angelo bateo. this is the guy that claims to be mr Speed demon. The guy is nothing more than a gimic. He cant play all that well, and its almost as if he has learned a couple scales and spends all his time trying to play it as fast as possible. The guy had no improvisation, Music theory capability.

Chris and i were on the other side of this seminar, and i had a 12 string acoustic, and i was mocking him...he never really heard us, but the first couple rows at the back did and it was quite comical. Allot of dissapointed people that day, after spending years seeing that guy profile ing the mags and buying all his videos...

I went to his site and listened to him; that stuff is all musical masturbation. Doesn't he know that went out in the 80's?
Same key and a moderate tempo? That stuff is faux speed.

Try 5 different key changes in the whole song, 2 changes in each measure with a tempo of 225bpm, and that's the jazz standard known as Giant Steps.
If you didin't learn fretboard-awareness then, you're damn well gonna learn it at that instant!

Recently, I've had other musical interests than guitar.
One of them is change-ringing from England. It could be construde as loud and brasive, but to me it's very hypnotic and etheral.

PS,
Forgive me for hi-jacking the guitar thread.
