One thing I have learned in the academy I was at, is that there is no substitute for good ol' Rock. And everyone knows that AC/DC is clearly on the top of the chart when it comes to Rock. So could I just get your opinions on which songs you think are amazingly orgasmic?

one of my first records ever was "hells bells"... but i wouldnt go so far to call a rock-song "amanzingly orgasmic"...<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
I switched to other "rock" later, and I still have a huge collection of Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Suicidal Tendencies, Danzig ....

For whom the bell tolls and For those about to rock are my 2 fave AC songs, but they're not among my fave groups.

Alice in Chains, Pink Floyd, OLD Metallica(before they became Trendica), are my faves.

If you ask me, Highway To Hell, Thunderstruck, Shook Me All Night Long are among the best.

Homer, do you like Maiden as well?

Snipe, Alice Cooper's Poison is a wicked song. I'm learning hw to play it on guitar as we speak.

Flyboy, Rammstein is a great band. Try Du Hast, Ich Will, Sonne, and Amerika for starters.

Umm, Snipe... I think you got confused.

"For Whom the Bell Tolls" - Metallica
"Hell's Bells" - AC/DC

They both start out with the lone bell "dong"-ing for a while before the rest of the music comes in (one's a guitar solo, the other is the whole band) and to most people they're easily confused at the beginning of the song, but they are definitely 100% different.

Lol...But now I have company, my 5 yrs old daughter loves rock. I fact, when she was just a baby I use to put her to sleep with rock music, (to my wife's horror). She loves to pretend play the guitar when the heavy cords are played.

AC/DC's best tracks have got to be Highway to Hell and For Those about to Rock.

Maidens best track ever was Two Minutes to Midnight.

And on the back of the 12" Version of TMoM was "Mission from Harry", 12 minutes of the band shouting and swearing at each other about the drummer that was recorded without them knowing... Hysterical

I can't believe none of you mentioned Led Zep... Stairway is a classic. But the best of all is Whole Lot of Love

Deep Purple rock (obviously)

And for the more adventurous, ELP are worth a listen.

Guns and Roses anybody?

And for a bit of middle of the road car music Bob Seger. Although Hollywood Nights always makes me drive way to fast...

Zep's Stairwa is good, Deep Purple's Smoke on the Water rocks, and nothing is like Paradise City by GNR

AC/DC was IMNTBHO just a passing fad that deservedly faded. Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Ten Years After, The Eagles (from Hotel California on), Derek & the Dominoes, Cream, now THAT is Rock & Roll!

44Hollowpoint, while Stairway was a great song, it was by far not their best, that distinction has to go to "Kashmir", which in their own words is "The definitive Led Zeppelin song." In my opinion, the entire Physical Graffitti album surpasses ZoSo any day of the week. . .

"Maidens best track ever was Two Minutes to Midnight."

You're obviously severely mentally deluded my friend.

Maiden's best tracks were The Trooper, Run to the Hills, and Aces High(ah, that intro!).
