I want one to go with my Cummins Turbo Diesel Truck.

Be sure to click on crankshaft and then go to the last slide. This thing has two crankshafts connected to one piston via two connecting rods per piston. Just go look at it.

I'll not say anything about the bike, as my mom used to tell me whilst beating me with a spoon "if you can't say anything nice, keep your mouth shut".

But the crank is interesting.

Unless I'm mistaken, isn't this a take on the Counter-rotating crank that Porsche used on the 3.0ltr 4-cyl 944? I think Mitsibushi used it as well.

Having had a 944 at full moo for a few hundred miles, I can testify it's very effective at dampening down vibration.

A very neat use of the concept to put it into a bike engine...

I hate those European units, but if I converted them right this is an 85 cubic inch displacement engine that get 100 hp output at only 4200 rpm. Max torque is equivalent to 149 ft-lbs, which will give it unique properties, typical diesel stuff. A gas engine would squeeze more than 230 hp from that displacement but only 80 ft-lb torque. Perhaps they would like to market a motorcycle tractor, or go after some hill climbing records. It's probably heavy too. A very limited market exists for this concept. What is its niche? I couldn't get past the smell myself, phew.

The smell has been removed for you. Sulfur is no longer an additive in diesel fuel any longer in the USA. The common rail fuel injection also would help it burn cleaner. My bike has 1800CC's (VTX 1800C) but does not produce that kind of torque. Also I am thinking the milage of this bike would be better than most gassers and could run on soybean oil, waste oil and other alternatives when gas is scarce? Some Europeans are already running their diesels on cooking oil because it is cheaper than fuel. Also I am a diesel lover, I own one and love the torque.

Yes but it has v-twin quirks like low power for the displacement, low rpm, and high (relative to the crotch rockets) torque, about 100 ft-lbs.

I can see that it is good on a cruiser. It keeps the shifting gears to a minimum. That diesel bike could probably get away with a three speed transmission.
