Good news/ I was called back to work this week, they "found" enough money to keep us going until 30 Nov.

Bad news/ I don't qual for any unenployment until I've been retired for at least 2 years because, they factor in my retirement pay until you're been out for that 2 year period.

Good news/ "they" are looking to hire me in the maintenance side of the house as a PE installer/subject matter expert. I will be back getting my hands dirty on the depot "line" installing PE. Looks like it will be a WG-10 slot and this will get me "in the door" on the goverment side of the house so I will be able to "see" and apply for the internal poistions on base after 90 days. This is going to be a hectic year for me I can see that now.

This bridge contract will keep food on the table and allow me to prepare for Christmas before work runs out but, I hope to be in the WG job sometime before the contract does expire.

(HE) always find a way Dice , You'll probably bugged too much to do any wrench turning, the folks who have your old job will be doing
"Dice, that project so and so,what do we need for this,or "By the way Dice We need help with this etc..."

You'll never get any peace, JUST THE WAY YOU LIKE IT!

ROFL, 20 or 30 years...damn you cut right to the bone don't ya Hitler! Lets see, last time I turned a wrench full time was 1995 when I crewed 186 at Moody. Hiltler I see you also remember my old saying...still use that one quite a bit.

Prkiii, bring it on brother, I'll be the guy parked beside the aircraft with blue jenas on and rock music blasing.

M&M, LOL yea I guess I will have to come to your class, hey as long as I get paid for it I'm cool with it.

Goose, you're right, there's already talk of..."well we're hiring you in this slot but, we realy want you to do this." I'm also cool with that for a while as long as I'm not doing GS11 work on a WG10 pay.

Dice,

I can't believe you are admitting to <s>the demise</s> err uh I mean crewing 186

NO NO I won't go there Goose said I have to take it easy on the retired guy.

Dice there is no way I could ever forget that quote, I think I may have even used it once or twice myself, proceeded by as one of my flight chiefs used to say…

Remember that commanders call in the hanger were what was left of the old girl was storied in boxes and somebody wrote "DCC TSgt Joe H*****" on the side of the box? Ops used the gun barrels out in front of their building as art-deco for a long time.

I still believe he fragged himself and it wasn't that damn slat....

OUCH! They left the boxes in there?! That's kinda funny. Did they put DCC TSgt Joe "Dice-man" on ALL the boxes or just one?

Hilter, you've used that saying alot more than once or twice. I think you used it about as much as the "I'll play your silly little game...", which I am now very guilty of using as well.

They say that the only two things certain in life are death and taxes. I prefer them in that order.
