I got a real BITCH ABOUT SOMETHING!

Now I'm not trying to be Racisit here or along that line but I just had a problem with my SLAN and had to call support because I was getting a "NON-REGESTORED" unit.No signal etc........
So I call support,You get the Normal
"Press 1 for this
Press 2 for that Etc.......

GET all technicans helping others your call will be Blah,Blah, -----
Bad elevator music and the Tech comes on, She is out of India,nice Lady but if anyone who knows me I can understand their english better than most without any trouble,but Her I couldnt hear her I asked her to speak-up, She would YELL, then she would repeat her request, again,Yell, then she was telling me a ID code, 192.etc...
Then she wanted me to copy these Letters ,Ok I couldnt understand her Alpha code she wasnt using our call signs like P is POPPA or PETER she used PEN, I asked her can you repeat I thought she said "Ben" but when she SAID B it was "Ben" so on, finally I asked for another operator which upset her,I told her I COULDNT UNDERSTAND HER,and it was probably "My Fault"(to be nice) so they gave me another operator who was even worst. I hung up and got the Tech manual out.

Why cant they have Americans doing this? The same for Credit Card companies. I really Hate it!
I fixed it myself finally,but really I know companies hire from over there to save money and they do have a Skilled work group,but when the Computer companies here sent the work over there not everyone can understand then,nor them us.
They so have to atleast give you the option of speaking to an operator here.

I'm really getting tried of it,and at times they get rude and act like "Cant you speak English?"

So thats my Rant for today,

Don't want to wind you up an few extra ft/lbs but it's going to get worse before it gets better.

It's all about TOC (Total Operating Cost), even taking the most highly trained and paid Indian tech and comparing with the lowest trained and poorest paid UK/US tech, the TOC's for India are 75% less than in our backyards.

I know as I was part of a team sent by our company to assess companies for exactly the same reason, just we were looking for engineers not call centre operatives.

With those sorts of savings, you can understand that companies can 'afford' to lose a lot of customers before they reconsider. But what they never factor in is the bad reputation they get which means they lose customers for life.

Again in our situation, its different, we have to do so much checking and re-work on the designs that it's never proven economic, that's why we never actually do it. We just waste a shed load of money sending folk on all expenses paid fact finding missions every 5 years LOL...

Give it 10 years and the standard of living in India will rise to the point that the cost savings no longer seem so attractive and then you will be calling Indonesia or Vietnam. These are the next hot locations for the out-sourcing gurus.

One last thing: Never bank with any company that out-sources it's telephone banking to India. Corruption and selling of customer details to organised gangs is rife and getting worse... You've been warned..!

I figured that Hollow Point, but it doesnt make a differance who you deal with anymore, 1 day you get someone here,the next day someone from another place, no matter who you deal with,Your not told before they do it.

But you Right, I just had to Bitch about it.

Goose I think I had the same woman, first time I ever had to ask for another techie lol.
I think nearly all tech support is now either India or ( oddly enough ) Irish. Dell got So much flack about it they went back to U.S. tech support, but only for buisness customers!!

A 45 has a muzzle.
A 9mm has a bullet vent.

Rubs me the wrong way, too. I even looked for a number to call to bitch about the situation, but it turns out they've already thought of that and do everything to squelch complaint by making it impossible to contact them. I just try to avoid business with such.

Crushed under his own mental block...

not to laugh at your misfortune to much goose, but the radio station I listen to did a bit on the "Indian Operator" just this morning.


On a side not whenever Sprint has need to call me, they use the same "indian operators". I always refuse to give them any info at all, siting OPSEC(never thought that term would ever give me any enjoyment), because they contacted me... generally pisses off the operator to no end (because they can't do their job) mwuahhahahahah

I have both a Indian Dr and a Paki Dr as part of my Specialist team,and I have no problem understanding them and their "GREAT!", but they have been here in this country for over 30 yrs and Citizens but they even "Complain about the operators for Tech support."

Now my question is this, If I push 2 for Spanish who then answers the Call?
