I was wondering if anyone downloaded the new Internet Explore for WN XP the Beta 2? Also Windows Defender?

I did Saturday, I like the Window DEfender for all the "Little" Stuff but still have Primary Anti-virus with Bitdefender9.

But The New Beta2 IE for WP2 I was really amazed at how easy it is to use and alot EASIER to read.
It interfaced with no problems with BD, and it gives me those
"Idioit" boxes when I really can use them <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
Anyone else working with it?

I have Defender, but not willingly lolol it updated to Defender from the MS Antispyware that I was using for well over a year. Defender is just for spyware, dont depend on it for anti-virus work.

After this peice of junk Gateway I dont do "early adopter" work anymore so I wont be trying the IE untill it is well checked out by others.

A 45 has a muzzle.
A 9mm has a bullet vent.

Never again will I use IE. Firefox or Opera for me. I don't even like it at work!! Although we are "supposed" to use IE. Ah the benifits of being in the Comm Squadron!

Oh, and I run Symantec for Anti-Virus. The take home from work does pretty well. And AdAware for the Spy/Ad-ware junk. But I also try to R2 the OS once a year. The next time I do it I'm wiping the drive with a program from work called Wipe Drive. Then starting fresh.

I've had a number of spyware products and believe it or not the MS proggy beats them all, finding stuff the others did not and never missing something that the others found! MS actually got one right this time lol

Agree, but there was something that I read a little while back that needs to be considered.

I can't remember specific details and a bit of Googling hasn't revealed anything yet, but if a company is a MS partner, MS anti-spyware will 'ignore' that comapanies spyware.

It flags the spyware as having been found, but allowed or something. You can instruct it to delete the spyware in question, but you have to specifically instruct it to do so. It pays to check the detailed logs every now and again.

REMEMBER MS Defender is not an AV program. Personal and corporate AV choice is McAfee. But there is nothing to choose between any of the big names.

Well you need to PREVENT spyware more than you need to remove it. Once it's on your system if it's truly malware it has probly already done it's job long before you can snip it out of the registry.

You can get them on the MS XP site, I didnt completely download everything,just whatever was free.yOU CAN GET AN ENTIRE SUBSCRPITION that does it all from MS but I have my own Anti-virus.
I agree with Boomer, MS spyware beats everything else as far as I'm concerned and has had Great reviews. I use to run spybot and wasnt thrilled with it.
I set the Windows Defender to notify me when somethings , changed or added then I can check early.
CCLEANER(Crap Cleaner) works very well for Free to clean your hard drive and you can set it for DOD spec's PLUS it'll DX software issues that your system is having without you trying to hunt it down.
It'll do the same as BCWIPE or Nortons U. BUT ITS FREE.
BITDEFENDER PROFESSIONAL I've had for 18 months now and I have NO COMPLAINTS unlike Norton or MCFAEE which I had alot of problems.
