I was watching the local news one late afternoon and they cut live to a press conference of a just convicted local politician.

This is what i saw happen next on live TV.

Just stumbled onto this video, figured i'd share, lol.

Well then I'll have another bite of Cheerios and try to figure out what to say about that.

I saw that on tv as well. Breakfast right before a day of Elementary school.

Even remember it was french toast I was eating when I heard a scream on the tv, saw what was up, then turned around and went back to eating.

We may have only had six channels when i was a kid......but it was 'quality' programming, lemme tell ya.

Bud Dwyer was the first person i ever saw die, and obviously, was the first person i saw get his head blown off too. He was also the first dead person of any kind i ever saw.

I'm guessing i was about 9 or 10 or something at the time.

Nothing like the boob tube to educate a kid, lolol....

First time I saw someone actually die by gun shot. First dead body I ever saw in person was at the scene of a traffic accident. An unfortunate driver was wheeled right by the small crowd of spectators I was part of, in a neck brace the EMT's provided, but no blanket covering the body.

Plus the casualty was left right by the crowd, just outside the ambulance while the EMY's tended to something else at the scene. No real sense of urgency on their part left no doubt this was a cadaver they left uncovered for everyone to look at.

One of my first jobs in TV was as a camera op at a university that had a med school. I was filming what i thought was a standard tutorial when they opened a drawer and hauled out a sectioned cadaver. It wasn't too bad except it was near lunchtime and the sight of it made me think of roast meat and got me very hungry....
