So, are you trying to tell us, goose that at the tender age of 14 you learned that 'life's a bi*ch'?<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/anim_lol.gif border=0 align=middle>

<b>"I played the "Number of the Beast" of Iron Maiden today."</b>

<i>And let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast, for it is a human number. It's number, six hundred and sixty six.</i>

Old Iron Maiden kicks ass beyond all words. Never has a band existed with a cooler mascot, cooler album covers, or that's consistently wrote cooler lyrics.

Ever.

The Trooper, by Iron Maiden.

You'll take my life and i'll take yours too!
You fire your musket and i'll run you through!
So while you're waiting for the next attack,
You better stand there's no turning back.
The bugle sounds, the charge begins,
On this battlefield no one wins.
The smell of arcrid smoke and horses breath
As you plunge into a certain death!

The horse he sweats, with fear we break to run,
The mighty roar of the russian guns!
And as we race towards the human wall,
The screams of pain as my comrades fall!

We hurdle bodies that lay on the ground,
And the russians fire another round!
We get so near, yet so far away,
We wont live to fight another day!

We get so close, near enough to fight,
When a russian gets me in his sights!
He pulls the trigger, and I feel the blow,
A burst of rounds take my horse below!

And as I lay there gazing at the sky,
My bodys numb, and my throat is dry!
And as I lay forgotten and alone...
Without a tear I draw my parting groan.

Whoa oh oh, whoa oh oh whoa oh!

And they match sometimes history in their songs, think about. "aces high", "passchendale" and "when eagles fly". Yeah they rock.
But maybe is this more for a topic about music.

Salute Dutchy

30MM,

I learned that at 12 yrs when I had to Milk Cows before and after school.

I thought $2.00 an hour was good money but by the time I hit 14 it was $5.00 an hour
Hey look! I was making almost as much then in 1977 as they do now at min. wage!
But I got to drive a COOL $30,000 TRACTOR<img src=newicons/anim_lol.gif border=0 align=middle>

If kids today had to do some "Good Ole Farm Work" they wouldnt be a bunch of "WHINY LITTLE PUSSY'S" like they are now.
They'd have manners, respect etc........
I think only a few turned out that way and those 18-19 yr olds fighting in Iraq would be a GREAT ROLE MODEL FOR THEM, Hell for anyone.

Being who I am {the son of a former HawgDawg and First Shirt} I would agree with that 100%. I might be 17 yrs old but I sure as heck aint like the little rich BRATS that I go to School with. Some of them Squirm at just the thought of doing work. they have no idea what work is. Let them spend 2 or 3 days in south Louisiana with my dads family then they will find out what work is.

+1, Goose. Worked both my grandfathers' farm and fruit orchard while "vacationing" with each. My first real job was laying sod followed by a cardboard box factory. That's when I decided to do well in school.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Cajun,

Doing what? Hunting Gators? running deer in the woods? Going after Hog in that deep thicket? Hunting squrriel in the fall?Fishing for
Crappie or Yellower Cat?
Fishing for Bass in the Slough or on Toledo Bend?
Learning how to Fry Turkey or cooking Pork on the pit?Catching Crawldads and pinching some tail and sucking the heads?
Just Flat out being a "Coon Ass"?

Man I miss those Days<img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
