Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I know several of you have been at Shaw at one time or another and might have knew TSgt Charles Lockwood, Elwood to his friends. TSgt Lockwood passed away yesterday. He suffered some kind of attack or stroke while in the 79th AMU weapons flight office. He was transported to the local hospital however all efforts to revive him failed. Funeral services are to be held on base Friday at 1100hrs with the graveside service following at around 1145hrs.

He was one hell of a weapons troop, expiditer, and outstanding NCO. He leaves behind a wife and one child.

They laid TSgt Lockwood to rest today. It was a beautiful service and there was a tremendous turnout. I was able to get the PGR to show up and even got them on base. Godspeed "Chuck", you will be missed.
