"Melida Arredondo told CNN-affiliate WFOR, "My husband did not take the news well."
That's a given. Bizzare story.
How's the Wobbly Goblin flying going sir?
"I came here to kick ass and chew bubblegum...and i'm all out of bubblegum".

Yeah, it sure is a bizarre story.
Goblin is going alright. Got about another month of training. Sorta weird going from lowest tech to highest tech, but oh well. Plane does a lot on it's own, and actually does fly well. Course, being a WSO/RIO equivilent sorta sucks, but, that's what this jet requires. Hope it hangs around for a while. There was talk about reducing the fleet by 10%, but that got quashed. Goes to show, though, that this jet has no guarantees to longevity any more than the other fighters out there. Being a "single mission" platform, I'm wondering just how long it'll last (like all other single-mission platforms in this economic day and age). That, and with it's cost and maintenance man hours per flight hour, it'll be real interesting to see what it's future holds. Time was, the plane had zero problems getting funding....you want it, you got it, dollars-wise. Now days, it's a year to year like the rest of the airframes.
