Funny...don't see an A-10 listed for a static or air-demo....guess they still hate the old girl down there....

PK, Not sure about that. It showed them as being one of the static displays in the base paper. Hard to believe that Pope wouldn't send a couple of Hogs down considering they used to be stationed here. Plus they could get the added benifit of scheduling some Grand Bay range time. Wouldn't that be nice for the guys working on the T-6/T-38's now to here the hawg lighting up the bay once again.

I'll be going and carrying my camera so if their there I'll post some pic's. One of the best things I noticed is their going to have an OV-10 there. That's one of the aircraft I worked in the past and never got a chance to take any pictures of really looking forward to it.

I would hope an A-10 would be there...but I didn't see it listed on the webpage (but that doesn't mean anything). If I don't go up to Kentucky to visit family I'm going to head down....good excuse to visit some old friends down in Valdosta anyways...

Pretty good airshow today put on by the CAF. They did a commerative show about Pearl Harbor and had the Japanese aircraft attack the airfield. By Far one of the best airshow's I've been to as of lately. I'll be going back tomorrow for round two.

A-10 related showings, There where not one, not two but three, yes three little piggies sitting on the ramp. Two from DM and one from Pope and the one from Pope was one that I crewed while stationed at Shaw many years ago (81-0990). I'll be posting pictures as soon as I get them uploaded to my server. Also had the pleasure of meeting one of the Pilots who took part in the testing of the YA-10 at Edwards AFB.

PK, Sometimes spending time with family is FAR more important than doing the things we enjoy. Well unless you can do both at the same time. That's why I decided not to go back for todays airshow.
