I'll be there. I'm heading back home to Sumter tomorrow. My dad will watch a performance on Friday since he's a retired disabled vet, and then he'll go again with me on Saturday. At the last Shawfest, we had one of those "back in my day" moments. I was standing there in front of an A-10 listening to him as he pointed out different things with his cane. Later, I thought it was pretty cool to see him talk to a young airmen about the TF-34. This guy had to have been in is early 20s while my dad was in his 50s, but they've both worked the same aircraft. Amazing...

Well there will only be a static display for the Hog. No demo, that sucks.

Well there was an Hog Demo after all. A very short one that included F-16's as well. I got to meet the Hog pilots the night before at a icebreaker for the T-Birds. Major T-Bone and Capt Wookie. Couple of class guys from Pope. All in all it was a good show. The C-17 demo kicked ass beyond belief. I know what you are thinking, C-17? Well yes, C-17. A B-2 from Whiteman did a fly over but no static B-2. No F-22 either, however there was a F-35 mockup with lockheed reps to answer questions. The vernerable old B-52 was also on display, a 1961 H model, cripes I wasnt even born yet. Well I was in the oven then. A Bone was there from Elsworth, still a impressive aircraft in my opinion. Anyone else make it?

Yeah, I made it. YOu're right, the C-17 demo was kick ass! Both my dad and I were disappoinmted with the Air Power demo, but I wish the A-10s had their own separate demo.
