This is a shot of the first PE jet headed back to Nellis AFB after modification at Hill AFB. The aircraft has just taken-off from Hill and is flying over the Great Salt Lake.

So thats a C-model, huh? Nice pic. Dice, did you ever find out whats the deal going to be with T.O.'s and having A and C models at the same time? Can we use 1A-10A-...on a C-model? or 1A-10C-... on an A-model? Even on things unaffected by the PE mod liek, say, changing tires? Or what?

Dice will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe by the time you guys see them (C-models) the whole library will be replaced. Also, you know I'm going to point this out Dice, but to clarify, this is Nellis' first C-model, the third overall C-model after our 2 at Eglin. ;)

Mugs is correct on both accounts, you will have "new" A-10C books by production and this is the thrid A-10"C" but the first one for Nellis. BTW these are all still A-10As working under a T-2, the model roll will not happen until proudiction begans.

Okay no numbers, but you started it already to say "the third".

More pictures, yes that is great. This picture is really good quality. A good sharp photo shoot.

Interesting question that this thread reminded me of. It depends of course on how digitized the plane's become. Is it just the cockpit, or did they redo the entire computer system?

The question is, can the C models use digital tray TERs, or are they still using the old ones?
