Hey Dice...thanks for the memories. I was a young Capt in the 356TFS at Myrtle Beach the day the ceremony depicted here....we were 1/2 A-10 and 1/2 A-7 initially...then I think in the early fall 1977 the squadron went all A-10 as they achieved Initial Operational Capability. Maj Dave Jenny (shown climbing the ladder) was the first A-10 demonstration pilot and the 356TFS Ops Officer. Cheers to all !

Slight correction to my earlier post...Dave Jenny was the first AF A-10 demo pilot......of course, Sam Nelson (Firchild-Republic) was the first... and was killed doing the demo at the Paris Air Show in June of 1977.
