I knew about the patch being flipped over, but I never saw the Mad Rabbit zap...but it was the first thing I thought of when I saw the zap! You should've asked...

Dice

Sorry, my bad. I usually only read the 'Hog Chat' section...

What this forum needs is a patch section!

Which brings me to a question...according to the main page, the 'Lost and Found' section has 82 topics and 411 posts, but when I go there all I see is one topic on EAFB with 19 replies. Where is the rest of the section??

Cheers! M2

M2, when you go to a section, like the lost and found, there is a "show topics for the last ??? days" in the upper right of the page, to see older topics you have to change that to match how old of topics you want to see.

422, I haven't tried to get any of the Zaps, just see them on aircraft coming through depot all the time. Maybe someone here can help you get some.

I can probably scrape one off of a jet! They're everywhere! Then you get into phase and open up a few panels and there's more!!! They definately got creative on the Zap locations!

Folks, the zaps are probably still available from the 103rd. Dice, check with Al Parent, he can get you some if you like. For JMF422, I'll guarantee you haven't found them all. I know for a fact there's some aircraft with them on the inside of F-109/F-110 pressure panels. The zaps started as kind of a joke, turned into a checklist item before we could sell the aircraft back.

The "Mad Rabbit" has been everywhere, not just on A-10's. I personally put one on an Oceana F-14 that puked a fuel control on #1 engine. Someone actually thought about putting one inside the external power door of Air Force One. I told the offending individual it probably wasn't a good idea and it'd be pretty easy to figure out who put it there given how close they monitor who has access to the aircraft.

I zapped a "Triple Nickel" Lawndart inside the Speedbrakes in 2002. I wonder if they ever found that one?

I've also got:
4 A-10's from Spang
2 F-15 West Coast Demo
1 McChord C-17

I was very very tempted to Zap the Thunderchickens. That got shot down REAL QUICK!!!

I'm interested in getting some zaps from whomever. I need to make a Wall of Fame in my new office.

If you look in alot of Jets in out of the way places ,you'll find all kinds of things,Stickers,Motto's ,personal letters etc..

They got one of our birds that was broke at a Navy base,Those Squids painted "Black &Yellow" taxi stripes in the speed brakes
That was cool!

Alot of our Transit Trash haulers later on for some reason I think it was when McCord stole all our tie downs and said "Must of been a Gerlim that stole them" so we had a stencil of "Kilroy was here!" made-up painted it up in the sleep loft on the ceiling and stole all their blankets and pillows except for 2 and un plugged the coffee pots right before take-off.

Didnt loose anymore tie downs, and I still have some extra Blankets and pillows

Billy, back in the HELL HOLE aginst the aft fuel cell where those damn TCTO's where done on the "Blocks" to keep the lines from rubbing back in the 80's I dont Know if Chico and Mine's signitures are back there still WRITTEN IN BLOOD? We both got ripped pretty good and couldnt see wasting the Blood.

That zap has been all over more than you think. Just recently they were seen on an AWACS, British Nimrod, EP-3 and E-2.
