Nice reverse-zoom work.

I love it when you can feel the high pressure from the underside, that kind of being in ground effect feeling when a jet comes REAL low over head. Its way cool.

Damn, I was about to post that video this weekend. One of our pilots took it this past deployment in Bagram, and I copied it last Friday.

Hey, fair is fair.
The pilot who took the video forgot his earplugs so he got the full effect of it all. Said it was LOUD.

I thought those mountains looked familiar, but wasn't sure.

Question. Am I correct that this was taped in Bagram? I saw something about that here.

Yes Dutchy, one of the pilots in my squadron taped that during the deployment we got back from this past summer. We were over there from Jan->May 06.

Always nice when pilots take a cam in their hands.
Thanks to your squadronmember that we can see this, Jackb.

Reminds me of a pilot at Bagram when I was there in 03. He took a video camera and set of NVGs and went out and sat/layed down and filmed our jets taking off at night. Was pretty nifty.

Holy f*@k!
Whats the length of the runway at Bagram?
Reminds me of departure days at RIAT at Fairford, when the departing aircraft tuck the gear up quick and depart low.......difference is, they are still over the runway for quite a time as they climb away, and at a safe height as they cross the airfield boundary.
Great vid 8)

I know it's over 10K, 'cuz I had to walk about half of it (1 mile) to get from my hootch to mid-field to my duty station.
