Will do...I'm going to call him tonight when I get off work and see when he is getting here...I saw him a little over a year ago when I was out visiting Bernard in Vegas (they were roommates) so it'll be good to see Dub again....

We had some good and interesting times down at Moody...

Thanks for the responses guys. I flew with the 74th TFS from 1987 through the summer of 1990. I was initially assigned # 80-224 and Mike Spencer was the \"Demo Pilot\" and was using # 82-665. For some reason, they swapped jets and I ended up with 665. It had \"The Last Tiger\" door art on it as long as I was there. Monogram released their 1/72nd scale model A-10 with Mike's name on #224 shortly after \"Desert Storm\". There's a large 18\"x24\" print of 665 taken at \"Air Warrior\" that you can still find in aviation shops and airshows. Here's a picture of the Trupmeter 1/32nd scale 'Hog that I built using quite a bit of after-market items and custom decals. I did the name block and door-art in photoshop. I spent a couple of years off and on building it - not an easy model by any means, but well worth the effort.

Regards,
Hitch

To quote what Jackb said....\"WOW\"
Nice job there Hitch!

Wasnt 80-224 a 75th bird? I thought she was ours when I was in 75th anyway.
Or maybe was it that we had 79-0224?
Of course I was there and gone before you got there Hitch! LOL

Hitch, very nice work indeed! I hang out on the Fine Scale Modelers forums and work with them on A-10 models, in fact there's an A-10 group build going on now.

[shock] :) 8)

THATS ONE \"COOL\" Model !!!! I didnt know any better if that was put in front of a picture of the \"74th Hangar\" at England you could pass it off as a
\"Real Picture\"!

I thought I remembered that call sign or nick name \"Hitch\".
Welcome aboard Sir, we can always make room at the \"WT BAR\" for another Pilot!.

He even put the \"Scuff marks\" above the ladder on that model, I hit the MagX button and its pretty much a \"Exact copy\" of any 82 bird.

Thanks for the nice comments guys. I have a complete build-up thread on this model on \"Aircraft Resource Center\" (ARC) that chronicles the build of this model. My photography could use some improvement, but you'll be able to appreciate the details. I had my \"Walk-Around\" photos of the jet as I was building this, and if I could see it in the photo, I tried to put it on the model.
