Hey
Any of you folks who have FIREFOX ever have it \" Go nuts on you?\"
I hit the icon as always and instead of my home page, the damn thing acted like I never had logged in before and changed my site page, I got it back but it \"Wiped all my Book marks out\"
Everything else is fine.

Got any ideas what happened and how to recover them.

I was lucky enough that IE still had most of my book marks in it still :D
But  I lost alot of most recent ones.
I did back-up my book marks , but The program doesnt work (I found out) with FIREFOX its something to do with its settings And I didnt know that until now.
So I'll spend the next several hours re-doing my bookmarks then I'll back them-up on my \"Stick\".

Well, the bookmarks go into a specific folder. When you get everything set back up, find that folder, and just copy it. That'll get everything.

Firefox just updated in the last week or so. That's probably what did it. But I didn't lose my bookmarks.

I dont know what kind of file Firefox produces to back-up but with IE I just Email the bookmarks to myself every once in a while and leave it in a Yahoo mail folder where my system failure cant wipe it out. I can also access it from another computer if I'm away.

I dont know why it stored most in \"IE\" but I had them in the yahoo folder and they were gone too.
I worked on the phone last night with my Daughters and they tried to help me, but I can only find the ones I imported from IE on the harddrive.
But I'm backing them up this morning.

They pretty much make a \"shortcut\" to the page, and store them in a folder. If you look through your system files, you'll find the folder. It may have other folders in it because of the subdivisions. Regardless of the format, if you make sure you copy it, and then put it back in the same place, you'll be fine.

Thanks guys! I went thru my hard drive and found the folders, and then the one I wanted and made a copy and then just transfered it to my bookmarks on line.
But I have them backed-up now!
