I wanted to post this earlier, but for some reason I cannot log onto this site at work. I can read the posts, I just can't log in...

Anyhow, it was on this day in 1976 that the first A-10s were delivered to Davis-Monthan AFB in Arizona. Drag out the GAU-8 shotglass and have some JD to celebrate the anniversary!

Cheers! M2

31 years already... The airplane has to be older than some of the pilots flying it, what a thought. Well, we should being in a cake. I think the Hog is very well equipped to blow out the 31 candles, but I'll pass on having a slice after that.

If only we could all be together in one location as one big happy family of past, present, and future Hawglette's for a couple of months, turning her for more sorties!

To relive friendships old and new. To relive the good times and the bad. To be with \"Our Girl\" just once more before she or us fly off into the sunset to that big bombing range in the sky!

To be on range when she unleashes the 30MM and hear that oh so familiar sound of Brrraaaaaappppppppp---Brrrraaaaapppppppp (Gotta have the echo in there)!

To hear her pass overhead and the whistle at us as she goes.

I'm about to shed a tear :(

Happy Birthday to Our Girls!
Long Live The Hawg! [salute]

358 TFTS 1978 We were still on A-7D's when I first got there, and we got our A-10' a few months later. I think the 333rd got them first.

Waltx, we have allready started loosing them. We lost 640 to the PE mod last year, 632 and 612 to PE going right to Baltimore, the end of this month we loose two more to Ft. Smith. I think it is safe to assume we are starting to soak our feet in the suck pond.
