I read on a Dutch forum that the planes from SP get in the States their update. And planes from the States replace them.
Question, does somebody know wich squadron send planes?

That's not correct Dutchy, SP jets are updated and moded in Europe, at different locations depending on who gets the contract. They are working on getting the PE mod done at Spang but that's not a sure thing yet.

But next week there will arrive at least 2 hogs from the states at spang. They(2) are airborne right now.

And Dice is right: SP Hogs get their updates and mods at SABCA BELGIUM

Thanks Dice-man, for your information.
But on the Dutch forum the rumour is very strong about 2 planes that are coming this week to Spang to replace the Warthogs that goes to the States.

De Raeve Guy, do you know wich unit?

Dutchy: The sp hogs won't go to the states for their updates. Some jets are yet at sabca charleroi (belgium). The jets coming from the states are the temporary replacements.

Don't know wich unit they're coming from.

Actually, there are some tail number swaps being planned and I believe Coach mentioned it a while ago. This is nothing more than good fleet management to even out the airframe times across the board. I don't believe there's any one unit giving up a bunch of aircraft, at least not right now.

Isn't stuff like this still cosidered senitive info. I'm preety sure it is. Last time I looked AF personnel can get still get in alot of trouble letting out info like this. I mean we still are in a war and who knows who is looking at this site.

The spotters and photographers always find out anyway.
If the USAF really thought it was a problem, they would adopt similar policies to the Israeli Air Force re the markings of their jets, or adopt the US Navy numbering system, which to me anyway, doesnt seem as obvious.
That said, even the most diligent spotters network couldnt pin an exact total on the Hog fleet.

They cant put a number on our Hog fleet because of those cloaking devices we put in. Thank god for Romulan technology.

I am not a \"spotter\" Dice-Man. But we see here only Spangdahlem Hawgs, every other A-10 is intresting for us Europeans.
I found out, that one A-10 has or had a doorart. See your personal message Dice-man.

Especially when they are wrong. Closest possibility is they were from AK. They became part of their new units after acceptance before they left here. And we haven't had any jets leave for a while now, and when they do, all markings except the tail number are removed from them.

Both aircraft arrived unmarked except for tail numbers.

I saw the pictures on the internet. One number was different from the first message what I get. I don't know how long they stay, but I hope to see them somewhere this year.
