I never actually got shit on by a Philapdelphia flying rat, just hate 'em as I'm sure plenty of Philadelphians do.

And it might be comparable to seeing a red tailed hawk around here take out and eat a pidgeon, among other small animals. Pidgeon's just seem to be easier to pick off by their lack of regard for animals that want to eat them.
