OK, I just wanted to let everyone know that I've got a brand new hawg lovers shirt for my new, improved gift shop at http://www.printfection.com/boomandzoom

I thought you guys might like a peek...

Here's the front:

and here's the back:

I recently switched over to this new shop from my old one (at cafepress) because Printfection.com offers more colors, better(and larger) printing and lower prices. I took the opportunity to spruce up a lot of old t-shirt art while I was migrating, and will be adding more and more designs as the holiday approaches. So check it out, and feel free to leave me some feedback...I'm always interested in hearing ways I can make my shop better!

Footnote: There are actually TWO hawg shirts in the shop...one for light colors and one for dark colors (which require different designs and pricing). You might need to scroll around to find the dark colored version. FYI

Nice shirt.

Although I dont think I would buy one because of the front and back being birds from different units?
Front being a Flying Tiger with the teeth we love oh so much! And the back being a Fort Smith bird. To me they should be the same bird?
Just a thought. My 2 cents per se'

My thinking was that it's the about the plane, not the unit. Given the time, I'd love to make one shirt for each unit, but I'm not sure sales would justify it. My shop only ekes out a few bucks here and there, so I'm more interested in building up an inventory of lots of aircraft one plane at a time.

It's an interesting thought, though...perhaps it might be better to build it up unit by unit. For some aircraft, at least, the art is relatively easy to repaint, if I prepare it properly. (Of course, the research can be pretty time-consuming)

Or I might make two designs, one green lizard and one grey ghost.

I'd be interested to hear what others think...

Hey Fritz the number on that Ft Smith jet is supposed to be 166. And the name on the side is Goose .......................with 2 O's.

LOL!

Hey, y'know, I think I'm gonna split these shirts into a grey ghost version and a lizard version. Almost done with the lizard profile. Does anyone know what a typical 90's A-10 had written in the outlined placard above the ladder door?

Maybe an idea. Use the units that also fought in Desert Storm to make it realistic the score on the back. Fort Smith wasn't at that time an A-10 base (am i correct?).
The shirt itself is good looking. :)

OK, I altered the back of the shirt, replacing the Razorbacks A-10 with one of the Flying Tigers. Think I may just stick with that for now unless people start pestering me for a grey ghost version. I'm feeling all researched out at the moment.

The Warthog Pen once again proved to be a wonderful resource! Found a thing or two I had missed first time around. The devil's in the details...

Thanks for the input, guys!

My two cents.

Since the scoreboard on the back is an aggregate score of all A-10 units during DS, the Hog should be a generic version with no unit markings and the Euro-1 scheme that was used at the time.

Or perhaps no aircraft at all and just all the DS unit patches across the shoulder of the shirt.

Oh man, I stay low for awhile and theres the \"Great Debate\" Teeth or Gumby\" or \"Euro vs Cement\"

I like Shirt but I have to agree with most that the A-10 would have to be
\"Euro-1 with generic markings \" just the Jet or since you put teeth on the front one then the one on the back should have teeth on it.

Now I like the Idea of Unit Patches since it was a \"Combined\" effort\" on behalf of all the Units that were their.

Now if you really want to get Technical, The tanks Were \"Painted Red\" on the jets. White was used for the Over all Score that some got to Keep while all the others had to have theirs \"Removed\" so that we didn't look like We were \"Bragging\" and make some feel \"Bad\" BULL SHIT

But a Ft Smith Jet, above a Desert Storm Kill total is really , Just my Thoughts A NO GO, Because Ft Smith wasn't there with A-10's and such have no need to be on the shirt.,Plus I would think Ft Smith would like to Run -up their Own \"Tally\"

I know some could say \"Well those A-10s were there in the Desert\" well not really, some were but alot weren't . You'd have to research each jet Tail number.

So thats Just my Opinion, I would tend not to buy it for that reason, a generic A-10 in Euro-1 with or without teeth instead I'm sold, with Teeth, I'll take 2

Hey Billy,

I'm going to talk to my \"Bro\" out in LA and have a \"A-10 \" commissioned of 80-0166 get this, painted Half EURO-1 and the other \"Two Tone Grey\" with oneside 23rd /76th and teeth, the other side with \" Your MA markings\"

Pretty Cool 8) I think that way it shows the life of the Jet.

That way one day its \"EL another day its MA\" that way I'll know which side needs to be dusted

Great! Hope you like it! Let me know how it turns out. This is a new printer for me, so I'm interested in the kind of customer service they are providing. If you have any trouble at all, email me (through my website at boomandzoomgraphics.com) and let me know. If they don't make you happy, I will set things right myself.

Good luck and happy landings!

Hey Hawg Wild, wouldn't that be some false advertising to put out a Desert Storm Hog shirt with your unit?

It's all about the unit. And your's wasn't there. And you haven't been there yet in your current aircraft. Once you have, then you you can sell the T-shirts.

ATTACK!!

Yeah, I could do that. You mean just the profile of the Razorback itself?

I've been thinking about making unit specific shirts, since there seems to be some interest. I have art for all of the wing insignia already, and the hawgs won't take but an hour or two apiece to repaint, now that I have the art. I'm unsure if I can commerically use the squadron or wing insignia or not, though. Anybody know?

Coach,

I agree with you on this one, not as direct as you but your right, It would be like putting a 76th jet on a T-shirt for Bosnia ,or for the current OIF or Afganny Land.

Fritz , I do like the shirt, but the A-10 family has its \"Pride in its Units\"

You if you did a \"Myrtle Beach\" profile with their Wing CC jet on the back that would be cool, and for the England group the \"Flying Tigers\" you put a profile of our Wing CC jet.
Then profile either the \"Wing CC\" jet or \"Squadron\" jet for the others..
NF, NO, and I can't remember the UK's tail right off the bat.

That way its 5 profiles,

Or to make it easier do a \"Front Profile\" of one with \"Teeth and one without\" in a Desert Storm load-out in Euro-1.
That would be easier, I think look nicer too

Goose

Thanks Fritz and that is with just the Flying Razorbacks, and Coach I asked the question of having the Razorback jet only.

Boomer, probably have a Hummer in front of me.

DHL just delivered my XL sweatshirt and it really looks great especially the front. It couldn't have come at a better time because tonight I am going to the 104TH Alumni Association supper over at Barnes. I will pass along any comments that I get.
