In all seriousnes Chad (and knowing you didn't ask me :) ) McNabbs stats for the year so far SUPPORT what Rush said.... he just forgot you can't say anything remotley race related on a media outlet... besides Vick (and for that matter Brooks when he isn't playing with his head up his arse) is a far better QB than McNabb. But Vick is hurt (much to my fantasy teams chagrin), and Brooks is playing with his head up his arse.... whats my point? I don't know I've forgoten by now.... Vick needs to get better yeah thats the point.... <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Overkill??? I'd kill a fly with a howitzer if I had one.

Limbaugh was trying to make a headline.

Mission succesful.

I like McNabb just fine so far. This IS only his fifth year. :)

Brooks WHO is a better QB than McNabb?

I think you ought to compare McNabb's stats his first four years against Elway's, Aikman's or Montana's.

McNabbs stats are better than all of them, and none of them can run like him.

McNabb is a gamer...even more so when you consider the limited playmakers at his disposal, get him a game breaking tailback and widereciver....And he will be up there with the best for the next 10 years. I like James Thrash, but McNabb could use some more help on offense.

Also remember...Elway didn't start winning Super Bowls untill he got help on offense..(eg) Terrell Owens, Ed MaCaffery, and Rod Smith...Every other Super winning QB has had a team to compliment him. Rush wasn't out of line...I don't think he deserved the back lash he got, but McNabb is a good QB. Aaron Brooks is gonna be another Jeff Blake type journeyman, not player you build your team around like McNabb is capable of being.

well Boomer...I am gonna root for the Chiefs this year when they are not playing the Raiders, so I am with you.... KC is just very balanced this year, honestly I think Vermeil has better weapons in KC than he did when he was with the Rams.

From your mouth to God's ears brother. ;)

If McNabb had the supporting cast Cunningham had(Quick, Barnett, Byers, Jackson, Walker, and that monster defense), The Eagles would be spooky good.

Damn dude..the Eagles were spooky good back then, they just couldn't beat the Skins in the clutch, and Buddy Ryan wasn't exactly an offensive genius..But that Eagles defense back then was amongst the best I have ever seen...Alot of team speed, and alot of talent. I still remember Randall Cunningham taking that hit, keeping his feet under him and throwing that touchdown pass on Monday Night Football...If I remember right it was aginst the Giants?

Against the Giants, in 1986, the hit was delivered by Carl Banks along the right sideline, and Cunningham kept his footing and hit Greg Garrity(Nicknamed "trash" because he caught any piece of trash thrown his way) in the back corner of the endzone.

Amazing play.

I liked the time Cunningham eluded Bruce Smith(who had Cunningham wrapped and tackled) in the endzone in Buffalo to avoid a safety and then proceeded to throw a 99 yard touchdown pass to Calvin Williams. :)

That was an even better play.

Randall was in a class of his own as a scrambler/runner. Vick Shmick, Cunningham was the greatest scrambling QB of all times. Watching him on a weekly basis for 10 years was a treat that people outside of Philadelphia were robbed of. He made incomprehensible escapes every week.

BTW, Eagles 1991 starting defense(one of only four defenses in the history of the league to finish #1 against the Run, Pass, and Total D- the other three were the Steel Curtain Steelers, the Purple People Eater Vikings, and the Fearsome Foursome Rams)

LDE- Reggie White(9x all pro)
DT- Jerome Brown(2x all pro)
DT- Mike Golic
RDE- Clyde Simmons(5x all pro)

LOLB- Seth Joyner(2x all pro)
MLB- Byron Evans
ROLB- William Thomas(3x all pro)

LCB- Eric Allen(7x all pro)
RCB- Ben Smith

FS- Wes Hopkins(3x all pro)
SS- Andre Watters(2x all pro)

SCARY good. :)

Yep very good D, better than the ones you mentioned, with maybe the exception of the "steel curtain" The Steelers of the 70's were damn good....To bad Gruden didn't show up on the Philly scene sooner, with his offensive schemes and the talent that team had on offense, with the defense they had....would have been cool to watch.

Buddy Ball was to conservative with the weapons he had on offense....Great defensive cordiantor, but not a great head coach.

LMAO...I remember "Trash" Garrity, he broke in with the Colts... Cunningham nearly rushed for 1000 yards one season. Eagles were always my second favorite NFC team (after the Niners) Cunningham was a decade before his time, the guy could do it all...Even punted, and hit one for 85+ yards, was more than that, but got some turf bounces from the unforgiving concrete at the Old Vet....

Willie Thomas and Eric Allen later played some great football for the Raiders towards the end of their careers...Good football is good football, and in the end, the game is bigger than any one team...

971 was cunninghams best rushing year i think. He had like 3800 passing yards and 32 touchdowns that same year. 1990 it was.

yeah for some reason kicking a punt out of bounds has becme a lost art. Remember Ray Guy puttin those coffin nails inside the 5 yard line on a regular basis. They cant keep kicking to him.

Ray Guy was de man...He played Strong Safety as well as punted at Mississsippi State, and picked off 13 passes his senior year. He used to like to headhunt of long punt returns and I remember him knocking the taste out of Bobby Joe Edmonds mouth on one hit in the Kingdome around 1985 or so...Remember him also hitting the gondola scoreboard that hangs from the Super Dome roof in New Orleans in pre-game warm up punts, they guy was a phenomonal punter and athelete and should be in the Hall of Fame, he sure is in mine.

How bout Tony Dungy and the Colts comming back to beat Gruden and the Bucs. Good homecomming for coach Dungy.

AFC looks dam strong this year.

Chiefs pull another one out of thier arse lol. The GB off line was awsome, blocking 10 or 15 yds downfieled at times. The GB def line got tired at the worst possible time, and the "holy man" got the bit in his teeth and took off.
