I work in downtown Jersey City, NJ, on the 6th floor across the Hudson River from where the Twin Towers once stood tall. October 21, 2003: Heard the sound of jets and knew that I had never heard that particular jet sound before. I looked out my window and saw four A-10's traveling north in formation above the Hudson River (low) in between Manhattan and Jersey. Quite a sight! Have seen them on the ground at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. Never in the air. Hope all is well here. Other types of fighter jets have been seen here regularly. Never A-10's. At least my co-workers don't think so. They've worked here longer.

Take care. Just wanted to share this impressive sighting with others. Thanks.

Sounds like someone going to Warren Grove or to Drumm.

By this time tomorrow I shall have gained either a pearage or Westminster Abbey........Nelson

Yeah, I've seen alot of A-10's over the summer flying over me as well; it became almost routine.

BTW, Hawg166:
I noticed on the World Affairs board that you are a citizen of Strongbadia?
Isn't it just Population: Tire?

Yeah well the population is now 1 x tire and 1 x HHAAAWWWWGGGGG CREW CHIEF. Of course I only exist there because of the Supreme Grace of His Highness Strongbad. What did you say your name was anyway....Josh ?
I know our pilots go to Warren Grove in New Jersey. I dont know where in New Jersey it is though. Alot of times the weather gets pretty bad up at Drumm so they hit the range down there. Every day before the launch I say my prayers asking God above to allow my pilot to have a misfire and bomb Yankee Stadium on the way. If the weather is bad there he can use Shea Stadium as an alternate.

Let's hope it's answered.

Why don't you e-mail SB and ask him if he prefers the SH or the Tom?
Currently, I'm doing a cover of the song "I'm not Mad at The Cheat"

And no matter where they fly over in New Jersey, they still have to pay the turnpike toll.
