dont know what will happen monday night, but the scary thing is the Chiefs are STILL playing like crap, not even close to thier potential on offence.
Jeeze are the Rams THAT good or are the GBs THAT bad!! Ahman Greene did next to nothing and Favr-er-er-a was less than stellar.

I think the Pack is just that bad...but as Chad said, time will tell- it is a long season.

To all those die-hard Raider fans tonight(It was by a yard), my condolences goes out to you.

Now you know a fraction of how a Sox fan presently feels.

Good teams win the tough close games..The Raiders this year are not a good team.

BTW...I am both a Raiders and Chicago Cubs fan...I must be a glutton for punishment <img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle> <img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle> <img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle>

As i said to Boomer tonight, it is a good thing for football teams from Missouri that the NFL field is 100 yards, and not 99! ;)

LOL... I assume you must be referring to the last play of the game.

Oakland played better by far in the second half than KC did; the Chiefs just "woke up" long enough to stop a desperate Raider offense. That last run should've broken the plane, though.

Oh, and on a related note... for all you downhearted Raiders fans, you can always come root for Minnesota. You're feeling right now how I've felt about 4 out of the last 6 seasons. No, correct that... 5 out of 6. Even when they went to the playoffs a couple of years ago and got SPANKED by New York I felt the way you guys must be feeling right now.

Cheer up, maybe Al Davis will have a stroke... <img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle>

Remember when the Rams won the Super Bowl a few years back when the last play ended at the 1?

Seems a common thing for Vermeil coached teams- and teams from Missouri. ;)

LOLOLOL like I said the Chiefs are playing badly and STILL winning, remember they did it last night without Dante Hall (Raiders wouldent kick it to him, he got only 1 or 2 chances) and Archuletta couldent play on def cause of a bad ankle. If this team gets it together before the year ends, it'll be veddy veddy baaad for the rest of the NFL.

I think the Raiders should let Tuiasosopo start some games, he looks like he may be what they need for the future.

Now everyone say the Chiefs are playing like crap!! I admit the first couple minutes were scary, but after the jitters they were the best probably all year.

It was good. I don't have cable (too poor for anything but computer, car and school stuff) but they aired it on KMBC. Not sure if it was on any other ABC station.

Well, 9 games in and it looks like the Chiefs are a lock to win Vermeil his second super bowl ring in 4 years and solidify him as one of the all time great coaches.

Over in the NFC, the Eagles have rebounded and won 6 of the last 7, grabbed four straight come from behind wins, and are one game behind Dallas with one head to head matchup at home against them to come. The Eagles next opponent the Giants are all banged up and minus Shockey, and the Eagles schedule the rest of the year looks pretty favorable.

Dawkins and Taylor are getting closer to playing with every week.

With the Bucs in the toilet it could be a third straight NFC championship game for the Eagles and MAYBE even a super bowl appearance.

Time will tell. :)

I like Tennesee in the AFC...(Sorry Boomer)

KC is having a great run, but they just havent sold me yet, and their defense is very hot and cold. I have seen teams like the Chiefs and Vikings finish with 14-2 and 15-1 records durring the regular season only to fold in the playoffs, the Titans are well seasoned and well coached. IMHO of course...

NFC I have to go with the Seahawks, despite their recent loss to the Redskins. I knew Philly would be ok, Tampa Bay is gonna go Milly Vanilli on us...

I wish Warren Sapp would get a Joe Theisman like compound fracture, I despise that loud mouth who looks like 12 lbs of lunchmeat stuffed in a 2 lb bag. I like how he compares himself to the african american slaves of the 19th century, yet he neglects to remeber that he is making about $125,000 for every stupid comment out of his mouth.

How bout Doug Flutie, been a fan of his since the days at Boston College.

What about Oakland?

Once he's finally back into his groove, he'd be able to pump new life into the Raiders' passing game. They can kick "Old Man Gannon" outta there and bring someone who's still got a few years left in their arm into the program.

Just a thought.

I like football very much, I´m not an expert like you guys... you know in germany they usually teach us things like soccer... I played football for 2 years or so in a local german team, of course a low level, but we had a few americans (mostly soldiers) in the team, our head coach was american, too.
It was the best sport I ever tried, and I only quit because I really had no time when I started with the university...

Just curious, I think you all played football in highschool/college.
What positions did you play?

I actually didn't play football.

I was in AFJROTC and I wrestled. Only the pussies played football at my school...

Just kidding.

I played Tailback behind the eventual all-time Penn State leading rusher and #2 overall pick in the 1991 NFL draft Blair Thomas at Frankford High school in Philly. My jersey # was 2.

Needless to say, i didn't see the field often. Out of frustration i quit after less than a season. Really irked me when he turned out to be a nobody at the NFL level. ;)
