OK, since we have someone here from about everywhere the A-10 lives, I could use a little help. I know most (if not all) squadrons have some kind of snacko going, and usually sell t-shirts, patches, etc. I am trying to compile a list of snacko OICs by squadron (most likely the FNG) and would appreciate if you know or can easily track down the snacko in your squadron that you drop me an email or PM.

I am not sure about the ROE on posting names of folks on this forum without their expressed permission, so just to be safe I am asking that the info be sent to me. However, if anyone is interested in contacting one of the squadrons, please drop me a line and I will hook you up (sts)!

And before anyone asks, yes I do plan to contact the snackos about patches for myself. I also get requests for A-10 paraphernalia from the NATO bubbas that I work with. It is greatly respected by a lot of the Allies.

Cheers! M2

Whereas it is a great idea, you must remember that I am currently stationed in Belgium and suffer from AAFES starvation. In other words, the PX (yes, it is a PX) doesn't carry iron-on transfers, so I have to wait until my next trip to reality (Spangdahlem/Bitburg/Ramstein) before I will be able to find out.

I have some great candidate shirts as well, two black t-shirts I recently got from the 81 FS snacko that did not have the graphic on the back as the previous two I got from the Panthers. That just goes to show you kiddies, always pay relentless attention to detail!

But fear not, my good friend, this project WILL become reality!

So, who knows some snackos??

Cheers! M2

Herr Mudd

Oddly enough, although I am at NATO, I am actually EUCOM, and my job focuses on the CENTCOM AOR...

Still, figure out a way I can get a rack of Bit Pils to you and I will pick one up the next time I am at Spang! I used to live near the Bischhoff brewery in Winnweiler near Sembach, so I know how it is to get hooked on a German beer!

Cheers! M2

Max, what exactly are you looking for? If you go to Hawgsmoke2004.com you can find a ton of patches.

If you don't have it yet, the 174th FW still sell the "go ugly early" from its days with A-10A. In case you need one!

Cheers,

I know it's been a few months, but I was digging through a pile of junk next to my computer at home and lo and behold I find some t-shirt transfer sheets for the computer! "Now where in the hell did those come from?" I think, then I remember they are from having to put my son's name on some t-shirts for school a few years back. "Damn, I know what I need to do, try to make that A-10 t-shirt!" I thought. So I printed one out and found an old black t-shirt to give it a try on. Well, no joy, I did exactly as the directions stated (for a change) and all I got was a vague outline of the original pic. My first thought is try to do this on a black t-shirt isn't the best idea, so I am gonna dig out a white one I never wear and try it again. I would have preferred black, but it just doesn't seem to work. Luckily I didn't ruin one of my Panther shirts from Spang!

Just wanted to let you know the project isn't dead...

By the way, do you remember which thread the pics were posted on? I can't find it.

Cheers! M2

Sweet! I haven't given up yet, I bought a nice light gray t-shirt at the BX today, and will give this another go tonight. I also figured out that I wasn't suppose to use an ironing board, but the wifey said my problem was most likely the black t-shirt. Keep your fingers crossed, I hope it works this time as that pic will make one hell of a cool t-shirt!

Cheers! M2

OK, this one worked a lot better than the previous test but it still isn't as professional looking as the art deserves! I guess I am gonna have to find a WalMart or something to do this, but in the mean time here is a pic of prototype II...
