Can anyone post a photo showing the battle damaged 967 after being hit in the number two engine by a SA-7.

I don't know if it's that particular airframe, but there's several photos in the gallery here of battle damage. Try there.

Speaking of the 74th, anyone remember for how long they were an F-16 unit at Pope before going back to Hogs?

Anyone at Pope during, or otherwise remember, the '92 midair?

The 74th FS stood up as a F-16C squadron at Pope AFB on 15th June 1992 and changed back to the A-10A in July 1996. HTH

The 74th didn't stand up with F-16's at Pope until '93.

The incident was from Allied Force in 1999. I have a photo of 81-0967 after being fitted with a new engine & pod, but not one showing the damaged aircraft.

Type 7, the '92 midair happened on 23 Mar 94 when an F-16 hit a C-130 on short final at Pope. Not a good scene.

Jack,

Geocities won't allow you to link directly to pictures on the website. You must put them on a html page.

Just the ticket, thanks. What is the badge on the side of the new engine pod?

Hitler, I'm not having any trouble viewing them with those links, are you? Maybe your too old to own a computor. hahahaha. Or maybe I'm too young to know how to use one, right?

Shuck, The badge on the new nacelle is the 74th logo. Heres a close up of it.

I guess the 74th didn't like the patch the CLSS team, which repaired the jet, placed on the engine....
