Who anyone know the name of the 104th's CO? Dag over on Areosoft wants to paint up the A-10 with the CO's markings. I have the tail section, engine and nose art but never took pictures of the name.

Hey guys cool it. Ernie, even though the names are on the jet, we have an opsec policy here that we hold to. Please either edit the post or I will. There is no reason for someone to ask here on the WT. If they want the info they can get it on the units homepage. Unless the other mods think I am over stepping the law, but I dont think I am. By the way since I have been on leave for over a week, I dont think I have had the opportunity to tell you that you suck this week.

By this time tomorrow I shall have gained either a pearage or Westminster Abbey........Nelson

What harm can be done by asking if a CO's name is on the AC? People can post pics of the same exact thing. This seems very petty to me, have you ever tried to get any info from a units home page, never mind their PR person, especially when your not Military.

Just see Dice's post.

TG, normally the commanders name is on the side of the jet. Sometime we do get anal on OPSEC/COMSEC but, I would rather be over the line and anal than put out to much info.

I belive it's about time for out monthly OPSEC/COMSEC debate...

Top Gun,

Communications security (COMSEC) and Operations security (OPSEC)
Sometimes we forget what the real words are, when we constantly communicate with acronyms. Google will give more particulars and examples.

DAMN TG that looks nice!! Did you remove the "reverce scoops" forward of the ladder door for the IFFC mod? I thought they would be part of the 3d model???

Hey Dice, I believe they are going to have a few models. One LASTE with those scoops removed and one prior 1990's all in early camo paint schemes.

Where are the LARS antenna's on the real hog?

The two lars antenna are side by side just inboard of the the fueselage fences. Also the scoops are on on the LASTE jets and off on the IFFCC jets. They interfere with the airflow to the AOA vane on jets with IFFCC.

By this time tomorrow I shall have gained either a pearage or Westminster Abbey........Nelson

That is AWESOME!
If only I could keep it that clean in real life!
I haven't had complete repaint since it was green, and the old girl looks pretty pathetic with 76-0533's re-furb'ed wing on her..Damn shame for a flagship to look as bad as mine does. :(
