very emotional I see, but it does not answer anything. War is hell and no one should want war, but I see nothing in here other than his attempt to weakend the US. I can see it now the supreme court ruling on every attempt to defend this nation-- if this happens we are dead as a nation. What about these civilians in the taliban and al aquada what the hell does he want us to do. I would have loved to seen this ass hole during world war 2 when the bombing of dresden, hiroshima, and Nakaski occured if he were around we would still be fighting that war.

Dont get me wrong I dont think we should enjoy war, love war, or kill civilians indiscrimantly. Unfortuantly war is about the will to fight both of another nations military and civilian populace. The Viet Cong understood this and used John Kerry to weaken our will because had a democracy. If a Viet Cong John Kerry were to have appeared he would have been surly shot or re-educated.

This man is not fit to make the tough decisions, instead he will be looking for 'military of the terrorist' instead of fighting the nation states that give aid and comfort to the terrorst. We must be willing to fight, or our nation will die. Could you imagin Kerry after another terrorist attack looking for a military to fight. Fool

Thanks for this reference Mudd. It has been mentioned many times by the "right wing conspiracy" but I have never seen it. Shall I be a literary critic? It's a lousy book, both as a scholarly history and an inspiration to action. The "Man's Inhumanity to Man" thing has been done so much better, more sincerely. Books that run the spectrum are "The Rape of Nanking" and "The Flyboys"; films would be "Back to Bataan" (relatively tame) and "The Killing Fields". There are probably many more that I can't think of now. Assuming most of the confessions in "New Soldier" are not made-up (and we know some are), there seem to be two points that can be made. One is that many soldiers feel guilty about their misbehavior (a good sign of a civilized core), and blaming others for their sins seems to make them feel better temporarily (not therapudic in the long run). Second, JF Kerry wants to help them blame others, as long none of it gets on him, and he can take credit as the whisleblower. Nice guy. Hey, it's a jungle out there in politics.
