Allow me to retort.
Douglass was only gone one year, and was extremely effective the last year he played here. He'll only be playing on pass downs, so should be fresh late in the game. The man is a proven pass rusher.
Kearse has been moved back to the left side, where he was utterly dominant early in his career(and he is still a young player). The Eagles are still 6 million under the cap even after signing douglass...they had the money to spend.
Trotter was only gone two years, and he was effective in washington. Also, he will only play run downs, so his limited mobility won't hurt the Eagles D on pass plays. Add in stud DT Corey Simon, and the Eagles will have a blistering pass rush(i will accept bets.

). That will cover greatly for the lack of corners.
Also, because of the new 5yd rule, star corners impact will be greatly minimized...whereas a ferocious pass-rush will be maximized.
The Eagles best back last year was EASILY B. Westbrook, and he's back and healthy.(Remember he was hurt for the playoffs, and the birds still made the NFC championship game for the 3d straight year).
Westbrook is a break away runner with tremendous moves. Madden always says when he sees the Eagles play that Westbrook is the most under-rated back in the NFL. Westbrook is a game breaker at HB.
D.McNabb has made 4 straight pro-bowls, is only 27 years old, and for the first time in his career has a true game breaking reciever.
Be afraid...be very afraid.
