I'm desperately looking for the desert version of the Bentwaters Buzzards patch. Has anyone got a spare that they'd be willing to sell me.

I am also after a Bentwaters Spookhog patch (as seen on the Phantom lanes painting)if anyone has one for sale/trade. Actually I'm still looking for several 81st TFW related patches, but theres too many many to list. I have several 81st TFW and related squadron patches as traders if anyone is interested.

I was on top of the Bentwaters tower on Sunday. What a great view there is from there. Shame all the Hogs have gone....

Just curious, why would there be a 510 TFS desert patch, I thought the 92d Blue Streaks were the only Bentwaters unit to go to STORM I?

Also, is this the patch you are looking for?

Thats the one. We were trying to liberate that painting from the floor at Woodbridge for a display for the museum that I am helping set up on Bentwaters. We are also hoping to retreive the big 91stlogo and pilots names from the 91st TFS sqdn room on Woodbridge. This will probably involve removing the whole wall.

This extract regarding the 510th was taken from - www.510fs.org/history/

"The squadron began providing close air support for NATO exercises, starting August 1979 and this until December 1992. The 510th deployed aircraft and personnel to Turkey to support Kurdish relief in Northern Iraq, from 6 September-10 December 1991; from 8 April-10 June 1992; and from 6 August-30 October 1992 and in support of Operation DESERT STORM and Operation PROVIDE COMFORT"

I must admit I had never seen the desert patch until recently. I'll try and get a scan of it for you Mike and get it off to you before you visit. BTW theres at least 2 versions of the spookhog patch, a 3" and a 4".
