Eagles, 7-0.
First time in franchise history.
TO, 8 catches for about 105 yds and a TD against arguably the best defense in the NFL. 5th straight game with 100+ recieving yards. New team record.
Owens also became just the 7th Player in NFL history to catch 90 or more TD passes...in just his 9th season. He now has 9 TDs for the year..and it's not even half way over.
Amazing player having an amazing season.
McNabb had a just OK day, but threw 1 TD, and again-no interceptions. McNabb did have a fumble at the 1 yard line that was almost an exact replay of the Culpepper MNF game fumble(in the exact same spot on the field to boot). Great defensive play by the Raven player that forced it.
Kearse picked up his fifth sack of the year, and forced another fumble. Dawkins also forced a fumble, and SS Michael Lewis had an INT in the endzone. Eagles recovered two fumbles on Defense.
Baltimore rushed for only 110yds, and threw for only about 150yds. The Ravens could score only 3 points until there was about 4:30 minutes remaining in the game. Eagles D looked very good today, as it should against a mediocre offense. The Ravens D is no joke, they also played very well today. It was a VERY physical game.
Were it not for TO, the Eagles would've had a very difficult time winning this game. Of course, that was the whole point in going out and getting the 2d best WR in the game today.
Westbrook did not play in today's game.
This years Eagles team would CRUSH any of the previous 3 Eagles teams that went to the NFC championship game. For the first time under Reid, the Eagles have a complete offense, defense, and top notch special teams. They are a very well balanced and explosive big play team with no glaring weaknesses.
Most importantly, the Eagles now have a 2 1/2 game lead in the NFC for the #1 seed in the conference.
The Giants were able to stay within 2 1/2 games in the NFC East thanx to the absolute STOMPING they put on the hapless Vikings.
I didn't see that game, what the HELL happened to the Vikes? I was really counting on them beating the Giants to give the Eagles a 3 1/2 game lead in the NFC East. I knew the Vikes had no D, but c'mon...giving up 34 points at home vs the Giants?
How do you lose by 21 points to the Giants at home?
Was it turnovers? That final score stunned me. I had no idea the Vikes would have THAT much trouble against what is really just a wild card team- especially at home.
Then again, if i am not mistaken, the Vikings have yet to beat a team with a winning record this year.
Regardless, the Eagles are clearly the class of the NFC. The NE Pats until proven otherwise are clearly the class of the entire NFL.
Now i'm gonna go watch and see if the Pittsburgh steelers can stop that NE juggernaut. I predict a 14-10 NE win in that one.
Pitt's next opponent is of course the Eagles(in pittsburgh). Talk about a tough schedule....two undefeated teams in a row. If Pittsburgh wins today, i predict they'll lose to the Eagles next week. If Pitt loses today, i think it will be VERY difficult for the Eagles to win next week in Pitt. Either way, next week's Eagles-Pitt game should be another physical low scoring slug fest.
BTW....i predicted a 17-7 final in the Eagles game against the ravens. The final was 15(missed 2 pt conv)-10. I was pretty close.
PS...did i mention the Eagles were
