Wow I thought I was a virtual cornucopia, a plethora of usual trivial pursuit knowledge. But you my freind have way to much time on your hands. But it is good club knowledge. I have filed it away for future refference.

By this time tomorrow I shall have gained either a pearage or Westminster Abbey........Nelson

Funny you should mention the word cornucopia, it was one of my 7-yr-old's spelling words last week. C'mon, I can barely spell that, much less a second grader...

By the way, he got it right on his test...made dear old Dad proud!

Grabbed this today, €20 ($26) but it is friggin' huge! Note it's got '354 TFW' written on it! Much more realistic than the Cobra Rattler, although it does still have an upper gun turrent with a 50 cal on it! Can you get these in the States??

I have that model, in both the gray and green schemes. Really nice detail, looks good on the desk at work.

I picked up one of these at Duxford last Friday, reduced to £8 ($16)...

1:72 scale, needs some touch-up paint (white and black in the appropriate areas), but nice detail and large (about a foot long), and I always loved that noseart!

KB Toys has them for $12.99 at http://www.kbtoys.com/genProduct.html/P ... stock/Y/D/

Cheers! M2

Herr Mudd

I went through every hanger at Duxford, was a heck of a great day! It was the first time I had been back since 1983, when I was at Bentwaters.

Oooooooh man, that is too cool. 162! Aah, the memories.
Why can't they have cool stuff like that in the BX here?

JackB, knew you'd like that one since you used to crew her. OBTW, it was't actualy in the BX it was from one of the venders out front and the reason you can't get stuff like that there is because it's way to friggin cold...

JackB

Try eBay, that's where I got 79-0162 and 79-0174 (now at DM, but the model has England AFB markings on it, and is green). 162 shouldn't be too hard to find, 174 a little harder. They are definitely a step above the Maisto and other diecast models out there for the same price!

Cheers! M2

Just so you know, there are 3 colored LED's in the base. Red, orange and blue. It rotates through the colors every couple of seconds. A little creative soldering and a few bits from the local Radio Shack, and mine is Blue all the time.

RAF Duxford ? Is that where the famous slate wall is that all the Battle of Britain pilots signed their names during the war and now the wall is covered with glass ? These were the best of the best; Bobby Tuck (may the grace and blessing of Allmighty God be upon him), Douglas bader, Sailor Malan, Paddy Finucane, JoHnny Johnson etc etc etc.

By this time tomorrow I shall have gained either a pearage or Westminster Abbey........Nelson
