Thanks Mudd. Hogmender, sorry man I'm not used to you being there, I will remember from now on.

TG, I will be getting a finished design (I hope) this weekend and email it to you. I was just trying to get in touch with you before I had everything in place to maybe get an idea of cost....say a 100-200 patches to begin with.

M2, I'm not goting to put the design on here because there are already rip-off 30th coins on the street now. I will post once I get some made and give you, and anyone else interested, a chance to get some.

Dice

Thanks, I wouldn't even post a pic of them here if I were you, those bastards may be spying on this forum looking to stuff to copy. If I could get two off you down the road I would be grateful, I started my 7-yr-old on this hobby as collecting is one of the requirements for his Wolf badge in Cub Scouts and I had a bunch of spare traders that I could give him. Speaking of which, if anyone is ever interested in a serious yet fun leadership challenge, then go volunteer with the Cub Scouts. I have led this den since they started as Tigers through their Bobcat badge and now their Wolf. I should have gotten credit for ACSC for doing this...

Thanks TG it's nice to have friends around the world! If they need an idea of the design show them the "patch" (with the buff Hawg) on the bottom of my website, it show give them a rough idea of what I'm looking for. I will make sure everyone here gets the chance to get a patch but, it may be after the A-10 World Wide Review the second week of Jan where I plan to show them for the first time.

This is coming out of my pocket because I couldn't get backing from MR. Caruso or the A-10 SPO at this time....O'well if the new (improved) A-10C mascott catches on I know I will have the orginal design on paper!

Man if only there was a paying slot for an A-10 historian I would have found my perfect calling!

Dice...

And everyone else that wants patches or other stuff made. Patchee shop says $2/patch if you buy them a hundred at a time. Price will probably go up slightly if you want to order less. Budget another 10+ bucks for packaging and shipping. Just waiting for designs and such. tinygiant@earthlink.net

Sent my finished design to TG and he's going to try to get to the patch makers this weekend. Hopefully (I) we will have PE patches by the first part of Dec. Thinking about nameing my Borg-Hawg 7 0f 8, 7 for the number of barrels on the GAU-8A.

I've also been named the project officer for the first PE install by a depot team (which will start this week) and the A-10 SPO POC for all PE related PA issues....I'll be able to keep you guys/gals up on the mod as it happens and point you to all public infomation.

Nothing yet. I'll visit the patchee shop, probably on Thursday to check on progress. It's not the kind of service you expect in the states. They don't call when it's done. I just have to keep checking back. There is also no guaranteed completion date, but shouldn't be too far off.

They said prototype should be ready Wednesday. Normally a lot faster. They had some issues with the little details (circuitboard, laser, etc). But they should they should be able to get all of them in.

That sounds great TG!! Do you have a scanner where you can scan the patch and send me the image? That way I can OK an order of 100 and get you the money ASAP, it would be nice if I could have them by the World Wide PMR the week of the 18th of Jan 05.

I know I'm asking a lot and I will owe you a BIG favor!!!

I should be able to find a scanner at work somewhere. I don't have one in my room here. If all else fails, I'll find someone with a digital cam and send you that. Doesn't lake long to mass produce these once the prototype is done.

Dice,

Got your patch back today. I'll be sending you some pics of it soon. The quality of the pics is going to be relatively low because I'm using my webcam, however I will try to find a "real" camera when I can (or a scanner) and get a better version of it to you. However, I took a coupla closeups and you can pick out some of the detail. Let me know what you think.

TG, got the images and again thanks! I want to show them around the office today and get some feed-back before I make a call on an order. Everything looks just the way I have it on my drawing except the "rivets" on some of the metal work, I realize looking at the patch how the process affected this part of the design and understand why.

I also realize I'm time limited and need to give a word soon if I want them by the WWR in Jan. I guess I may be in a win-win because this is the first PE patch and even if a new design comes along this would be a colletable because it was the first, and the one the PE team used here at Hill.

TG, looking at the image closer it looks like the "A-10C" is hard to read is that right? Maybe drop that and replace it with just a large C??
